There was no money exchanged or special consideration given to get Vioxx on the market. However, Vioxx is a good example of a study not digging deep enough into long term effects of a new drug. Vioxx was introduced in 1999 and was originally thought of as a treatment for polyps in the intestinal track.
But this time I am going to ask the GP to try for Gout immediately (VIOXX and/or Allopurinol for Uric Acid/Gout). I notice it seems to reoccur every 5 years.

Symptons are always have been cold, tired, joint and muscle pain worse in fingers, I took Vioxx before it was removed , high blood pressure , tinnitus, completely deaf over 2,500 cycles in both ears. Hearing aids made no difference. Dentist last month couldn't freeze my gums with 2 needles of Carbocaine.

I agree with Chris' (Healingwell62) comments. Calcifications are common and don't necessarily mean cancer. If the radiologist says to return in six months, it just means that they will keep a close eye on the calcifications and do semi-annual mammograms for a year or two to see if there is any change from your initial mammogram. I would call the physician that ordered this, your first mammogram and express your concerns and questions to him/her.
I had a DVT that went through my heart and into my lungs(PE).
A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart.
My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE.
Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Yep ready to take on the 48 week plan. End date Feb. 2013. The first time back in 2008 these drugs really kicked my azz. The only thing I'm doing different is 100 plus oz. of water daily, it's made a huge difference for me.
It is good news that unemployment is down, but with the sequester it is likely to rise again.
I know these stats are important but with the incredible instability of our economy right now, I don't hold much by dips and rises.
Having said that, it seems like there is an effort here by some members to just use whatever bad news that comes our way as an excuse to blame Obama and when their is good news, to simply deny it ot scoff at it.

Miraculously,I think we found the answer to my son's problem. On his birthday in April of 2008, he had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. His appendix and a small portion of his colon was removed. He had been in pain for 5 DAYS, and not seen a doctor, because he was so discouraged from lack of help for his bouts of vomiting. Anyway, as I talked to friends and read about this, the appendix can flare up for years before it is diagnosed.
Hello Guys, well for those who havent read my messages Im just going to say that I have been experiencing dizziness, lightheadedness, visual disturbances (halos around lights, photophobia, floaters, eye pain), headaches, fatigue, etc that come and go, but theres always something there..everything started on 2008. ANYWAY... saw million doctors, have had several MRIs, bloodwork, etc during these years and everything normal.. EXCEPT a questionable IgeneX result...
