I'm a nurse and had a guy come on our floor with sildenafil as a regular medication. I asked the doctor why and he said the pulmonary hypertension. So I could see a use for what your husband said.

It wasn't to long after that I was treated for Nohodgkin lympnoma. I'm in remission so I'm back to being treated for the pulmonary hypertension,On dr out of state has me on Latirisi which is a trail drug. to make a long story short One dr said if I had a liver tx all my other problem would go away. That seems to have nitrates and both together can cause a large hypo-tension that can produce the increased HR. Other possibility is that you are anemic.
Avatar n tn You should contact your caregiver for advice regarding your medication as they would have your medical history, general health, etc. There is a noted drug interaction with Viagra and warfarin in certain patients. Avatar n tn Hi, Viagra will prolong your erection but I’ll suggest you to consult your physician before starting on Viagra and rule out certain important diseases like hypertension, coronary artery disease before starting on Viagra. Viagra can cause hypotension (low BP) and can tend to worsen hypertension and coronary artery disease. I hope that helps. Avatar m tn Thanks for posting! I see the pulmonary hypertension cardiologist today and will ask him about my heart function. However, he told me everything looked normal but all he looked at was the stress echo test. I've been tested for pulmonary emboli and it's been negative. My pulmonary specialist said that it's possible it's a precursor to a lung disease that hasn't shown up yet on the CT scan. She just doesn't know which disease it is yet.
