Avatar m tn Probably the best person to ask is a pharmacist. Doctors know a lot, but they don't always know every detail about drug interactions. Web site drug checkers are also useful (I've used them!) but again, don't always tell the whole story.
Avatar f tn If you visit this page: https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-77875/tadalafil-oral/details, then click the "interactions" link and scroll down to the bottom, you can enter each specific drug you are taking to check for interactions. I didn't see anything particularly concerning; however, you should talk with your doctor about your very low blood sugar. It might not be related to the tadalafil, but if I were you, I would discontinue using it until your doctor can run some tests.
Avatar n tn Ask a pharmacist. When it comes to drug interactions, they are usually far more knowledgeable than doctors, and have databases in which to look up interactions. It's good to ask the prescribing doctor too (and if you don't have a viagra prescription already, definitely tell your doctor about ALL medications and supplements you take).
Avatar f tn My psychiatrist, who I see every 2 months, is starting me on Lithium low dose (300 MG/day) and he said it could have interactions with some of my heart meds, lasix in peticular, but didnt go into much detail and said things should be fine. I dont see my cardiologist for another 2 months, and my GP till January 4th (I see him every two weeks). I am extremely nervous about taking the lithium without knowing anything about it and how it can interact with the lasix or other meds.
Avatar f tn There're few web sites that shows "drug interactions", and "drug/herb/food interactions" ...do a search online for words in " ",I am sure you'll find your answers.....if not, please feel free to message me and I'll send you a link.
Avatar n tn Prozac now 40mg and fentanyl 50mcg. and he is now talking in his sleep every night and constantly scratching at himself in his sleep.
Avatar n tn Potential side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, headache, and nervousness. Because the combination of chlordiazepoxide and alcohol (ethanol) may impair your judgment and/or reflexes, it may be dangerous to drive or to perform tasks which require you to be alert after taking these together. It would be advisable to avoid consuming alcohol while you are taking chlordiazepoxide.
Avatar f tn I just went up to the booth when I was picking up the amtriptyline and said I have an old rx for ultram and the doctor said It was ok to take with the amtriptyline and she said yes. Then of course I come home and put it in the computer where I keep all my prescribtions for any recalls and it comes up it may cause seizures. I am guessing if you are on a very high does of amtriptyline but I only take .10-.20 so that is very low. It is used for pain managment and not for depression.
Avatar m tn This morning the pain is still there as is some slight nausea though I was able to eat something. Does anyone know of drug interactions between Anacin and Progesterone? Is there something else it could be?
Avatar m tn The proposed mechanisms are inhibition of warfarin metabolism and decreased synthesis of clotting factors. Binge drinking may exacerbate liver impairment and its metabolic ability in patients with liver dysfunction. The risk of bleeding may be increased. Conversely, reductions in INR/PT have also been reported in chronic alcoholics with liver disease. The proposed mechanism is that continual drinking of large amounts of alcohol induces the hepatic metabolism of anticoagulants.
708731 tn?1229049180 I would look at the birth control pill in relation to your thyroid medication and disease, and also the consequences of mixing the birth control and the Prozac. You may find that switching birth control will allow for treatment other than Prozac. Just a thought, but I think it has merit. Keeping up on your bloodwork and getting stable at the correct level is the best medicine. If Prozac helps short term, go for it. I'm taking xanax.
Avatar f tn I take 24mg suboxone daily. Iam bi-polar and was prescribed pristiq and abilify, after i went on the suboxone, which i did not tell the doc i was on. I took my first dose of the meds, the abilify and pristiq, (which i had been on before) and got deathly ill, for about 6 hours, then i felt drugged until the next day. I have not tryed it again. Iam only on the suboxone, but i want to get off of it, it has changed my life for the better, in every way, except the cost.
Avatar m tn Likewise, I was never told to avoid taking anything with my levothyroxine besides food and calcium/multivitamin (basically just not at the same time, but I could still have a multivitamin). I've also never had a problem taking benedryl (besides that it knocks me out) or any other drug with my hypothyroid meds. If you're on a drug for your hypothyroidism, there is this nifty tool at the top- under drugs, you can find drug interaction.
