Common Questions and Answers about Viagra vs levitra drug

viagra

Avatar m tn PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) are safe and very effective but results may vary. I've been taking Cialis for over a year with excellent results and no relevant side effects. I also tried Levitra and it worked fine but Cialis is my favorite. Everyone is different, though: some men prefer Levitra, others prefer Cialis or Viagra.
Avatar n tn Viagra and Levitra are the two FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) approved anti-impotence drugs that are indeed effective in helping men.Viagra needs no introduction! Pfizer's wonder drug, sildenafil, better known as Viagra, is the trusted treatment for male impotence problems.
Avatar m tn Try masturbating less frequent and next time with your wife take some pills (take small dose- viagra, levitra, cialis...) and use it couple times to regain yours self-confidence. You'll see everything will be ok! Don't worry so much and good luck!
Avatar m tn Although rare, Viagra (sildenafil), Cialis (tadalafil) and Levitra (vardenafil) can cause muscle pain and unusual skin sensations or paresthesia. In clinical studies, Viagra caused muscle pain and paresthesia in less than 2% of patients. Patients who experience these side effects should stop taking the medication and consult their physician. These medications increase blood flow to the penis by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5).
Avatar m tn I discussed with my medical provider who said Viagra is not a safe drug for men. I’ve gone through a few articles mentioning that diabetics with ED can use Generic Levitra (vardenafil). Is that true? If so, I’d like to know who has used Generic Levitra having ED and diabetes and is it safe.
Avatar n tn I have been prescribed Levitra and viagra for the past ten years and they have worked well. I was talking mainly 20mg Levitra. A few months ago this only resulted in a less than satisfactory "half erection" and that has been the case since. However I have been woken during the night with a good erection so the "plumbing must still be working.
Avatar n tn Hello Doctor. My doctor prescribed me viagra for performance anxiety. I suffer from anxiety disorder. It worked great and sometimes didnt even need it. Ive been taking it usually a couple times a week. Last couple times I took it it dindnt work very well. Is there a tolerance build up to viagra? For a man like me who didnt physicaly need it, could it damage my penis and make me impotent? Been taking it for 4 months 2 to 3 times a week.
Avatar f tn I agree w/ GuitarRox - doubtful this one-time deal would do you much harm. But same as GR, I'd want to know why you took Viagra in the 1st place at age 24 - were you experiencing any symptoms that made you think you were developing ED, or was this just sort of an 'experiment' to see what would happen? First, it's never a good idea to take a Rx drug that wasn't prescribed for you, and 2nd, it's an even worse idea to take a larger dose than prescribed.
Avatar m tn According to the study, in which 300 men suffering with the erectile dysfunction were asked that they prefer which drug (Levitra, Viagra, or apcalis) for the best sex. The answer given by the majority of men was Apcalis. Thus, you can also chose Apcalis and enjoy sex anytime in the day.
Avatar n tn Finally I stopped all together at about 24 but the impotence persisted so I was prescribed Levitra, Viagra and Cialis but the Levitra was my choice for about a year until it stopped working and gave me bad side effects (stuffy nose, what feels like high blood pressure and chest discomfort). I began taking Viagra which worked great for a little while and cialis on occassion just to change it up.
Avatar m tn am also on icp treatment program which has shown no improvement. I have also taken sereis of drugs from viagra to levitra and all these advertised natural male enhancer and none has ever worked. I need serious and immediate help. Hope someone out there can feel my pains. Please help me, am frustrated.
Avatar f tn As far as our sex life, it seems to be almost non-existant. Could Viagra be an option, or is that just adding another drug to the mix which really isn't needed at this time? Does Viagra help with the wanting sex, or is it just in order to keep an erection? If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know.
Avatar n tn Some guys prefer Viagra, others prefer Cialis or Levitra. I suggest you try all three brands and see which one is best for you.
Avatar m tn You said your doctor prescribed Cialis. All three PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) are very effective but everyone is different and reactions vary greatly. I suggest you try all three and see which one works best for you. You should always consult your doctor first, though. Have you seen a urologist already? Did you do any tests to determine if there's some underlying organic cause that you're not aware of? Maybe you should seek a second opinion. Good luck!
740456 tn?1260449809 I take Cialis 20 mg too and I'm very happy with the results. It's an amazing drug. I get excellent erections and the effect lasts for two whole days. Cialis is my favorite PDE-5 inhibitor: I also tried Levitra and Viagra but they didn't work so well.
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.
Avatar m tn Only a doctor can determine the cause of your problem and prescribe the right treatment. ED is actually highly treatable. Viagra is not the only solution - Cialis and Levitra are also very effective. There is another ED drug called VIGAMED (oral phentolamine) that was also effective in my case; VIGAMED is not available in Europe but you can order it on the Internet. Talk to your doctor before you decide to start any treatment. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Not a doctor, but I have taken crushed Levitra and Viagra to speed up effect. Otherwise my slow digestion takes over an hour for the effect to begin. The only thing I have noticed is that the flushing effect begins in about 15 mins and in less than 30 mins the benefit is apparent. I'd like to hear if taking a crushed tablet is harmful. I don't need the benefit to last four hours, I take the medicine right before my wife and I go to bed.
Avatar n tn Could my heart medicine (metropolol tartrate, gemfibrozil or metformin) be causing me to have a continuing ED problem and would viagra or other med help?? Intercourse is impossible now..Thank you.. This discussion is related to inability to ejaculate.
Avatar n tn Are the meds to counter this? Levitra? Viagra? I have no problem with erections. Does this effect wear off? Do i need to switch meds. This has the potential to be very embarrassing for me. Please help.
Avatar m tn You could try once a day Cialis with Levitra or Viagra on demand.
Avatar n tn past sexual functioning, you might be a candidate for one of the Rx drugs like Viagra, Cialis or Levitra. The Dr. would want to do a physical exam & probably run some blood tests before prescribing such a drug. The Implants are pretty much the last resort for ED - that's generally for guys for whom other treatments have simply not worked.
Avatar m tn I am considering switching from Levitra to Cialis. Have read that Cialis has a longer half life (up to 36 hrs vs. 5-7 hrs.). Anyway, I have tried extending Levitra's half-life by taking a second dosage a few hours later, but no matter what, the max effects still really fade off 5-7 hours after the initial dosage. Wondering if anyone knows why this might be... and why a second dose would not extend the effects? Just helps with planning.
Avatar m tn As far as I know, long-term use of Viagra or any of the similar ED meds like Cialis or Levitra shdn’t cause loss of sensation. They sometimes DO lose effectiveness over time, but that may be that as a guy ages, his ED becomes worse. Might be best to see a Urologist - you said a Dr. did not prescribe this med for you & it’s generally not a good idea to self-medicate.
Avatar m tn If this is indeed a case of psychogenic ED, there are solutions available. PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) are very effective and can make you more confident but they're not exactly anxiety drugs. There's another ED drug that could be useful: Vigamed (oral phentolamine). Vigamed blocks the effects of stress hormones (adrenaline is an erection killer, this is why anxiety and erections don't go hand in hand) and promotes blood flow to the penis via the sympathetic system.
