My physician said champix tablet can be used for 12w to quit smoking.but there is no representatives here in chennai to supply tablet and give counselling.if anyone knew pls help.

Chantix received FDA approval in 2006; Zyban was approved in 1997. These drugs can be effective tools, but users need to be aware of some potentially serious side effects. You can try that and they are very cheap in some pharmacy's.
I have been feeling nauseous for the last month but I have been on champix to quite smoking, I have stoped smoking, but since the food poisoning I stoped champix, don't feel like smoking at all, I hate it. I am on cymbalta for fibromyalgia and extroin for thyroid. I have thought I might be post menopausal, but I am not too sure, have had no signs associated with that, and from what I know my mom started her menopause at 50 yrs old.
I dont drink and am not on any medication except champix to stop smoking. I have never experienced this before. I am a 53 year old male and drive for a living, so to suddenly "come to" after 2 hours of driving was a bit worrying.
There is also this tablet called Champix that I believe works well! It basically takes away the Craving for Nicotene...

will be starting on champix and will be done with ciggarretes in 2 weeks but i was told if i take ventalin and smoke pot it could kill me and i currently take symbicort and ventalin (salbutamal sulphate) but i asked a nurse about if i was to smoke sum pot one day if i didnt take the ventalin all day would i be ok and she said yes but i would like a professionals information so my question is it ok for me to take symbicort and smoke on occasion?
A friend of mine aged 51, he writes as a hobby and he started writing about killing himself etc ? went off the deep end completely after champix treatment. He turned on everyone, his wife and family. It changed him in a shocking way. Everyone thinks it is mid life crisis, and yes getting helthy and giving up cigarettes, it was time for that, but he went very depressed angry and blaming. Then he gave champix up and went manic?
Lost my job late January. ????? Finished Champix 8 months ago. ????? Dr has no idea and I am grasping at straws. Any suggestions?
Early December last year I was told that I have Hypercholesterolaemia and I would have to take Simvastatin 40 mg and quit smoking, I'm male and almost 52 yrs old.
I was on Champix, and quit taking it about a month ago. I am in the process of opening a new business, and have been experiencing a lot of stress during this process.
I don't know what this is, I know it's not my eczema, and I know it's not contagious because my husband has broken out in the rash and itching.

I started a new prescription to quite smoking I started 14 days ago called champix and am on aticand for high blood pressure. I was not sure if it was the new prescription but I am not sure.
t know if this is related, but I quit smoking on March 29 using Champix, but only took the Champix for 2.5 months. Non-drowsy antihhistimines don't help at all (eg Reactine). Benadryl helps for about an hour, then I need to sleep for 2 hours, and when I wake up it's worse than ever. Its very red and feels raw, and when I scratch (even lightly) it feels as if my nails are razor blades :(
I'm really at my wits end and can't find the cause of this.
Prior to this I was using Champix to help me quit smoking. I have stopped taking it 2 weeks ago, when I started noticing mucus and blood in my stoll.(Blood in stool is one of Chamix sidefects) Last week I went to see my doctor and he told me that it is not hemarroids, but I need to do some tests. He wanted me to do occult blood test and barium enema. I'm not sure if I want to do barium enema as my husband and I are trying to have a baby.
Smoking definitely is NOT good for us ... since you had to stop while you were in hospital this would be a perfect time to quit permanently. That business about cutting back just doesn't work. You can't break a habit unless you stop completely. There are many aids avaiable today to lessen the withdrawal of nicotine. The antibiotics would certainly have an effect on any infection that is still present within your body. Regards .....
He should do this with your strong encouragement, with the help of his doctor and prescription of nicotine replacement therapy along with at least one other smoking cessation medicine such as Wellbutrin® (buproprion) or Chantix® (varenicline), counseling and group support, both at home and in his workplace.

I have tried to quit smoking many times. The patch wroked but could not get down to step 3. I just tried Champix this last 2 weeks, and altho it really helped make the smoking useless, the dizziness, nausia and extreme anxiety and panic for 2 weeks straight was all I could handle and I didnt take the pill last night or this morning.
I am feeling better but really guys...Does anyone else have chest pain that lasts up to 3 hours? I do.
