Avatar m tn I’ve gone through a few articles mentioning that diabetics with ED can use Generic Levitra (vardenafil). Is that true? If so, I’d like to know who has used Generic Levitra having ED and diabetes and is it safe.
Avatar n tn The PDE5 inhibitors sildenafil, vardenafil and tadalafil are competitive and reversible inhibitors of cGMP hydrolysis by the catalytic side of PDE5.
Avatar m tn Although rare, Viagra (sildenafil), Cialis (tadalafil) and Levitra (vardenafil) can cause muscle pain and unusual skin sensations or paresthesia. In clinical studies, Viagra caused muscle pain and paresthesia in less than 2% of patients. Patients who experience these side effects should stop taking the medication and consult their physician. These medications increase blood flow to the penis by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5).
Avatar f tn After i had my youngest son, the dr phoned in some meds once i was home from the hospital and he had the dosage wrong too. The pharmacist had a sticky note on the bag and bottle and told me not to take as much as the lable said to because it could damage the liver. Just be careful and dont take as much as the bottle says to. Youre supposed to keep your aceto intake below 4,000 mg at the max for a 24 hr period.
Avatar n tn I posted earlier about some unusual experiences with sub but didn't give any details. My doc recommended me take either 4mg or 8 to start. I was in mild WDs, so I said I'll take 8 to make sure it would get me off those. He agreed, and said if i need more two hours later, take another. Anyway, to make a long story short, I ended up extremely sick the next day.
Avatar n tn He advised against this but gave me a prescription of Azithromycin, with 500mg dosage twice a day for three days. In all my research online, I have read that the recommended dosage is 1g of Azithromycin taken once. Is the dosage I was prescribed as effective?

Avatar n tn Hi, welcome to the forum, the recommended melatonin dosage is typically 3 milligrams. If it exceeds it limit it may cause nightmares and some other disorders. Initial start should be 1mg against prescription. Melatonin is hormone that is produced naturally in the body. Your body produces the melatonin dosage that permits you to sleep at night without waking up groggy the next morning. Your body requires complete darkness to produce melatonin.
195145 tn?1255636447 If you take a pill or use a patch it is a steady amount at all times. With the shot, it starts out with a pretty high dosage and then wears off in time. So, I take them only when I feel that I need them. My use varies, one time I might need to take one in a month and the next I maybe good for six weeks. I didn't started on the hormones for about two months after my hysterectomy.
116881 tn?1189755823 I am happy to say my blood pressure has remained very good, and there are natural bp reducers as recommended by my naturopath that I will try if I ever feel the need again. I have had a few bouts of possible a-fib, they don't bother me that much and go away when my digestion settles. I have linked this to digestion and food and controlling that has helped immensely.
757137 tn?1347196453 you might just try eating one banana a day. That might help both your potassium levels and your hypoglycemia, as you say both are mild problems. And you might try supporting your adrenals with adaptogens such as eleuthero and ashwaganda. For exact potassium levels, that's hard, because potassium is a nutrient one has to be careful about -- you don't want too much, don't want too little. You might look into an electrolyte supplement -- and I don't mean Gator Aid!
Avatar f tn I have been having no lucky in the past year absorbing my thyroid (synthroid) medication. They now want me to go up on my dosage from 900mcg's to 1,800mcg's, and I heard that is a very lethal amount. My TSH level is over 100 and my T4 level is .3 I think. What about other thyroid medications like Armour or cytomel? Need your opinion!
Avatar n tn My latest test results show TSH=50 and FT4=0.57 and my doctor recommended to increase the dosage to 112mcg. And he recommended testing every 4 weeks. But since the recommended range for TSH during pregnancy is < 2.0 i'm a bit concerned that testing every 4 weeks is too wide apart. Would you recommend testing every week or so to ensure that the TSH level can be corrected sooner ?
Avatar m tn Would you please let me know the recommended daily dosage of Vitamin D? I read that FDA recommends 800 UI but I heard people take 10,000 UI daily and your body can create upto 25,000 UI a day due to sun exposure. Please advise.
Avatar f tn Hi the recommended dosage of caltrate plus is two tablets taken daily. One tablet twice a day with food, or you can alter the dose to suit your own symptoms as long as you do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Avatar m tn 0 gram dose of azithromycin will cure nearly all chlamydial infections and is the recommended therapy for NGU. For gonorrhea the 2.0 gram dose is recommended. The 2.0 gram dose is also the dose shown to be effective for syphilis. You describe taking 1500 mg (1.5 grams) over about 3 days. This dose would probably cure most chlamydial infection and NGU and some gonorrhea or syphilis but not all. Beyond that, there really no way to answer your question with complete confidence.
