Valacyclovir without a prescription

Common Questions and Answers about Valacyclovir without a prescription

valtrex

Avatar m tn how were you originally diagnosed? what are your symptoms now?
Avatar m tn t just because she gave me a prescription for Acyclovir to lower my HSV values (which she was wrong about), nor that she would prescribe a drug for a patient without double checking herself (I found out myself it was a wrong prescription, and came here for double checking)...but mostly because she rushed me out without answering a few questions and will not take a phone call from me... I am forced to continue with her because of insurance reasons...
Avatar f tn Yeah, the tea tree oil can be harsh for sure. Is this your initial outbreak? If so, you should be on valacyclovir 1 g orally twice a day for 10 days. If it's a recurrence, it's valacyclovir 500 mg orally twice a day for 3 days. Unfortunately, it's going to suck for a bit. I wish I had magic words to change that. I promise it gets so much easier.
Avatar n tn the intercourse was always protected, the oral was not. Last night I noticed she had a Valtrex prescription in her washroom.....I am not a doctor but I'm pretty sure the only thing you take that for is genital herpes. I am now panicking like crazy because I am sure that I have been infected, and have not brought it up to her yet because I am so furious that she was that irresponsible and putting my health at risk for not telling me. Based on the circumstances....how at risk am I?
Avatar m tn s office today and requested a prescription for the 500 mg tablets of Valacyclovir. He is supposed to call me back later today. If the 500 mg are too expensive, I will just ask for the 1000 mg next time and break them in half like you said. In general I think I have pretty good drug coverage, but I'm not sure how much the Valacyclovir will cost.
Avatar m tn Welcome to our Forum. Certainly a rash can be a result any drug, including valacyclovir. It seems to me that you are assuming that this is a valacyclovir rash. Has this been verified by your doctor. Are you sure that this is the case? Could anything else be causing this problem? Does it happen every time you take valacyclovir and stay there. If the rash is due to VCV, it should not come and go as long as you are taking the drug?
Avatar f tn To my knowledge there is no legitimate source for obtaining T3 in the US without a prescription. If I may ask, why are you interested in T3 only. Also, are you not able to get a script from your doctor?
Avatar f tn The official prescribing information for valacyclovir indicates a 1% chance of minor abnormalities of liver function in people taking valacyclovir, which was slightly higher than 0.5% for placebo. That difference was not statistically significant and there is no suggestion even for routine liver tests in people taking the drug. Here is a link to the official prescribing information about the drug, as approved by the US Food and Drug Administration: http://us.gsk.
Avatar m tn Do you use protection? Because that would explain why he doesn't have type 2.
Avatar f tn My doctor changed my prescription to valacyclovir 250 mg/day x2, which finally stopped the outbreaks.
Avatar m tn at the time tested a sample from a legion and only confirmed to me that it was Herpes (without any specifics beyond that). I ended up with three outbreaks in two months initially. My Dr. started me on 500mg daily Valtrex. He also tested me for HIV due to some concern, but that came back negative. During the past year, while I had mild symptoms on a semi-regular basis (tingling, itching, redness at the area), I never had any actual outbreaks.
1096856 tn?1333119985 I have done a lot of research on the drug Clomid and am considering buying off the internet and just trying it for a couple of months without going through the whole drama of going to an infertility doctor. I am 43 and have been TTC for about 5 months using OPK's, with no luck. I just started charting my temps to see if I can tell if I am even ovulating. My periods have become quite irregular over the last year.
Avatar f tn I have had several outbreaks since then, but they were all pretty minor (1-2 sores). I was taking Valtrex daily for about a month and a half, but I developed what appeared to be cystic acne the whole time I was on it. As soon as I stopped, my skin cleared up, but I had another outbreak, so I went back on it and my skin started to break out again. I've never read anything about that being a side effect, but it was the only explanation.
Avatar f tn Even without treatment, most people with HSV2 have markedly reduced outbreak frequency within 10 years -- so the odds are good it will go well if you take a break from valacyclovir. The other advantage is that if you do get a typical outbreak off the drug -- with blisters, sores, etc -- it can be tested to reconfirm HSV2 and also to test your virus for drug resistance. I hope this has helped. Best wishes and happy new year.
Avatar n tn I also seemed to get a spot on my inner elbow, and then a big cluster on the sole of my foot a few months later. After the facial outbreak the nerve tingling/prickling began - and I have not been able to shake it for 10 months now. Can anyone else who's experienced similar symptoms tell me if the tingling/prickling sensation is permanent? It sometimes turns into nerve pain - not what I would call serious pain at this point, but it's distracting to the point of driving me mad.
Avatar f tn ll also tell you that it was really, really dumb for you to permit anal penetration without a condom. What were you thinking??? Why in heaven's name would you use a condom for penetrating her anus but not the other way around?? Finally, I'll also say it was wrong for you to discover she had HIV only after the event. You should have asked her about her HIV status before starting any sexual contact.
Avatar n tn as I could not get to it earlier. Since then I have been taking valacyclovir 3 times a day (3 thursday, 3 friday). Currently, the only remnants that remain is a little "scabby" looking skin. (the lesion only weeped a little). As such, my skin is currently as intact in the cold sore process as it would be 6-7 days out if I would not have taken valacyclovir, even though this is only the third day since it began.
Avatar n tn The cold sore remained small and eventually went away. After this I went 1-2 days without taking any Lysine or valacyclovir and on the second day I noticed the cold sore coming back again and now appears to have come back and crusted over. I did not think the new cold sore was actually one but then it crusted over. Is this possible if it appeared to have went away and/or is it possible that a new one could come on so quickly?
Avatar m tn I provided the information I did in an effort to give you as much relevant information as possible because ultimately this is a decision you need to take yourself. If you stop the valacyclovir you may not have a recurrence and, in fact, I suspect you will not. I would suggest being off the drug at least a week before resuming sex, just to be on the safe side. Second, you should discuss the situation with your wife. How does she feel about the risk- this is critical.
Avatar m tn Dear all, I am a 38 year old male hetero and did the mistake and had an encounter with en escort early January - saver sex, but I received unprotected oral. About 2 weeks later I did develop a itchy red area around my anus varying in intensity - sometimes just itching sometimes inflamed red - but no blisters. About a month later I did develop annum spot on my lips which grew into a few red spots on and around my lips I also grew a penny size red spot right next to my eye.
Avatar m tn The next day I saw a doctor and got a prescription for Valtrex. I took 1000mg about every 4 hours for 24 hours hoping it might work like a morning after pill. I have now cut back to 1000mg every 12 hours. She said that she was clean and that she has to be tested every 30 days to work there, but that is no guarantee. I am really worried about the possibility of contracting herpes and I know I should get tested, but will the Valtrex affect the results?
Avatar m tn My dr prescribed me with 30 1g of valacyclovir with no instructions on taking them. I took 1g of valacyclovir every day for 30 days. My last day taking valacyclovir was 02-28-18. I took a igG herpeselect blood on 4-3-18 and it was negative. I was told that the antivirals affected my test and i would have to be off of them for 12 weeks. So i tested again for hsv 1 and 2 on 05-24-18 exactly 12 weeks off of antivirals and it was negative.
Avatar f tn And the nystatin and valacyclovir have together mostly cleared up my tongue sores and blisters. But I feel like without the valacyclovir, i'd be very very sick. Also my lymph node on the right side of my groin is still quite swollen. any opinions about what this might be? two ER doctors said they thought my oral infection was fungal/yeast. only my GP thought it was herpes... but it seems like i have some kind of viral infection because the valacyclovir is having a positive effect.
Avatar m tn I went back to my dermatologist and he did not think it to be herpes. But gave me a prescription for Valtrex as suppressive therapy until I can take a reliable blood test in 2 and 3 months. I know that everyone has different symptoms for genital herpes and I feel like I have some. Thoughts?
Avatar f tn I need advice. Ill see my doctor for the first time in a week and a 1/2, so what if I take them until I see the doctor?
