Avatar f tn In other words, if nodule were benign would the Flomax be likely to work better? Does progressive increase in frequency indicate a higher chance of cancer?
Avatar m tn I have had an ultrasound of the prostate which checked out fine and have been tested for chlamydia and gonorhea, which both came back negative. I am currently taking uroxatral and avodart daily, and am curious as to why I am still having symptoms. Is it possible of being overmedicated? Or is there something that has been missed? If so what other possibilities are there?
Avatar n tn there might be side effects due to what your taking and of course getting back to normal ejaculation will indeed take time if you dont push yourself to control it.
Avatar m tn I’ve been on Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic), followed by Sulfamethoxyzole (antibiotic) plus Naproxen (anti-inflammatory). Currently I’m on Uroxatral, to help relax my bladder muscles to ease emptying, and further aid my prostate healing. These medications may be helping, but to be thorough I also had ultrasounds of my bladder and testes and doppler (vascular study) of my penis.
Avatar m tn I corrected it myself and have had an extremely hard time trying to get a diagnosis. In my case cold testicles is due to either restricted blood flow, or the fact that cremaster reflexes are often absent in patients who experience testicular torsion. There are other causes for cremaster reflexes to be absent. Cremaster reflexes should be interpreted by a doctor, and preferably a urologist. I’d assume there are many causes for cold testicles.

Avatar m tn I don't know if what follows will help you, but I have had a similar problem to you. Last year, I got an STD after I picked up a girl at the bar and the condom broke. I went to my doctor after I started feeling a little "peculiar" and he prescribed me 7 days of doxycycline, which seemed to help, but didn't solve the problem. I started getting a clear discharge so I went back and the doctor had me tested for STDs. I was negative. He then told me it was probably stress.
Avatar n tn t know that the med had side effects related to prostate. It became hard to urinate any more than small quantities at a time. I began retaining fluids, something that was determined after I returned home to US. I was catheterized and have had the catheter ever since, except while being tested in various ways. CT scan did not reveal stones. Cystoscopy revealed thick walls to bladder and, as the doctor put it, a bladder that appears much older than my 58 years, i.e., diverticula.
Avatar m tn I need to know, how much time does it take to NDT to work? is it six weeks like T4 medications or it works differently?
Avatar n tn I just had the urodynamic test. The urologist who performed the test said I have low flow at high bladder pressure, which would indicate an obstruction. My normal uro, the one who performed the cystoscopy, did not find an obstruction (but I don't think he was looking for one, and he seems to be ignoring the redness he saw on my bladder neck...). Anyway, doc gave me a 30 day sample of uroxatral.. if that doesn't work, he'll mix it up with some other medications.
Avatar m tn I also have problem with erection lately due to a pain and every time i pee i have dripping issue when i go back to work.. I am pretty sure this is some kind of a urinary track infection which lately have been progressing... I went to urologist and have been on doxycycline for one month and after taking a week of for another month , which helped me and made the pain go away along with the swelling , unfortunately as soon as i stopped taking it the pain and swelling came back.
4705307 tn?1447970322 But my problems is more cramping under my sternum, it becomes in the realm of 7-8 on a 1-10, pain scale. So I see no reason to take it, cramping seems to be different to me than nausea and vomiting, although at times my ribavirin does not want to stay down, this issue is also a relatively new problem. I have tramadol 50 mg for pain and that doesn't touch it.
Avatar n tn Here's my dilemma. I've been having symptoms since last November, I posted for this before and despite seeing multiple docs haven't had any relief. The symptoms are a painful burning feeling at the tip of my penis, the meatus, and slightly in and around the opening of my urethra. Sometimes in addition to the redness it will swell up slightly. I've never noticed any blisters or sores, no hard lumps, no pus, no discharge.
Avatar n tn I originally planned to work until Xmas eve. I shared the same feeling as u w/ not wanting to take time off too early due to only getting a fraction of my pay on SDI. I was getting really tired quickly tho so I gave into what my body was telling me. I told my boss I was gonna start my leave on 12/12. Turned out my water broke earlier than that. I had my baby on 12/8 & started maternity leave then. My suggestion to u is to listen to ur body.
Avatar f tn I live in Ca does anyone know what is the total time you can take off of work ??
Avatar f tn Hi Sherry, I think when you have to start asking yourself that question and when you have to take time off of work to "rest up", that's when it's time. You may even try going part time for a while just to see if you can handle that. For me, my MS progressed so fast I had to stop working within 4 months after my symptoms began. We have to listen to our bodies, that will usually be all it takes to know.
1399363 tn?1462342610 When I had episodes of pulse spikes, I took metoprolol 50mg; while sometimes it seemed to work for me in as little as 30-45 minutes, last time I had to take it prior to my ablation it was taking over an hour to work, around 1 hour 15 minutes. I know, it's torture waiting for it to work; give it time and if it's too long perhaps talk to your doctor about it. I hope you feel better soon!
Avatar f tn I work full time.. go to school full time.. and have to very hyper boys.. it is getting to be a struggle.. I'm 22 weeks today.. my job is mostly a sit down job.. I'm having trouble bc I deal with a lot of different attitudes a day as well as heavy paper work etc.. it is draining me.. I think it drained me more than working as a CNA... but this pregnancy I'm dealing with a lot more things..
Avatar f tn I am going tomarrow to have t4 and THS. Is there a best time to have the blood drawn. I had it tested about a month ago THS was at 18 . Dr increased synthroid from 100 to 112. I really feel that is not enough. I'm still having hypo symtems. I guess I just want not to do something to make false readings.
Avatar m tn My mother felt better after 6 months. I didn't really feel like I was on top of things for about two years.
Avatar f tn 37 days!! I'm proud of you for pushing through this even though you have been feeling so lousy. A lot of people wouldn't have the strength to do that! I think it'll be good for you to work part-time. It'll make you feel better and you'll be socializing with other people, and like you said, you'll get some "me" time away from the house. It'll help bring some normalness to your life I hope.
Avatar n tn I am still seeing a doc and will keep you up to date.
