On June 4 of this year I went to a local ER for severe chest pain. I had been having this pain intermittenly for a week. My ECG results read "right atrial enlargement, T wave abnormality, consider anterior ischemia, and abnormal ECG". I was given a GI cocktail and sent home diagnosed with epigastric pain. Four days later I went to my primary doctor because the chest pain was so intense.
I took 5 days of cipro, and 1gr of zithro simultaneously. Felt somewhat better but did another urine test a week later and continued to show wbc in urine. Then took 7 days of doxy, felt better but not perfect. I told my girlfriend I had urethritis but that the cause was unkown and that the usual procedure was to be treated with antibiotics, she ended up taking 1 gr of zithro but also took cipro for another bacteria (non std) that was found by her gynecologist.
When I looked back over blood results that I had done a year ago, my anion gap was 7 and I now noticed my Vitamin D level was insufficient (22 ng/ml). Other than the iron deficiency, my doctor hasn't addressed any of these other results. Last years blood tests were done at my request because I had concerns about re-ocurring sinus infections, and I had mentioned to the the doctor that my grandmother, her son and her brother all died of multiple myeloma.
Went to the doc today. I got some blood tests done, as well as a urine test. I did get treated for chlamydia and gonorrhea. A gram of Zithromax and some sort of shot in my hip since the urine test did say I had white blood cells in the urine which indicated an infection. The nurse said it would take about a week to kill off the infection. It'll be a further two weeks until the 100% definite results are in for both HIV/AIDS and Chlamydia/Gonorrhea. Docors ususally test for this by measuring microalbumin (which is a protein) in the urine. On 10 March I received unprotected oral for about 1-minute prior to a condom being placed on me. Two days later, I began to urinate frequently and experience some burning. I was out of town and went to a walk-in clinic and received 250 mg Cipro to clear what was believed to be a UTI.

I had a protected sex encounter with a sex worker about 3 weeks ago. At the third day of my exposure, i did an Urine Culture Test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Test result is negative. However, these few days i am having some weird tickling feeling on my penis. Sometimes, i can feel some sharp tickling at the tip of my penis, especially when i am walking. But, I do not feel any pain during my urination.
My questions are:
- Is the urine test on the 3rd day conclusive?
From the start, I assumed your chlamydia test was on urine or a urethral swab. If it was a blood test, the results are useless and you probably never had chlamydia to start. And once positive, a chlamydia blood test remains positive for life.
But even assuming you had the right kind of test (urine or urethral swab), your repeat test at 4 days was way too soon. With successful treatment, it takes up to 3 weeks for chlamydia tests to become negative.
