I am wondering what the difference is between a strip test and midstream ovulation test? Is there a difference? is one more accurate?
A doctor will have to order the test but honestly the chance is so low that she has it (or your child) that it's really not necessary more than likely to even test. Most doctors think it's a waste of time (I had to fight for it hard) because the chance of passing it is so close to zero.
I hope that puts your mind at ease but unless something came up I wouldn't worry about it (altlhough says me who did rush out and have her kids tested but I was positive when I had kids).
I kNOW that blood test is more accurate than urine test and can detect pregnancy after 24 from implantation while urine test can give false positive results and false positive may be due to:
1-chemical pregnancy
2-missed reaction time(too long to read)
3-chemical interference from FERTILITY drugs having HCG ,medication like trankilizer phenothiazine,contamination with blood or gross amount of protien,
4-evaporation line,you see faint evaporation line as the urine crosses the test in the test are
at 6 weeks after exposure I had varicella on my arms and chest and legs, so I went to get all STD test, the Hep C antibody test come back positive and HCV RNA come back negative. So I followed up other tests.
At 10 weeks, I test HCV RNA which come back Negative( I didn't test for antibody at week 10)
12 weeks, Hep C antibody and HCV RNA both negative.
6 month after exposure Hep C antibody and HCV RNA both negative.

Pregnancy test kits are basically qualitative kind of test which just tests presence of hCG hormone in the urine of pregnant woman because this hormone is only produced during pregnancy among women. But this pregnancy test depends upon the particular level of hCG in the blood.
So sometime it may be possible that it can give you false negative results during early days of pregnancy only because of un- sufficient level of hCG to make test positive.
Last fall I noticed slightly darker urine and less colored stools. I had some blood/urine tests ordered by my Dr and I tested positive for HCV antibodies on 10/13/2012.
I can explain this to an unprotected sex contact I had, since I don't do drugs and didn't have any blood transfusion.
A number of other tests were altered, including ALT.
A week later (10/20/2012) I have been tested for viral RNA (both quantitative and qualitative) and viral genotype, and they all came back negative.

I also support maria's advice as many patients of HCV remain asymptomatic and his/her LFT, CBC urine test and ultro sound reflects normal results. Even in my case my abdomin ultra sound, urine test, LFT , CBC including ESR were within normal limits. However i was feeling some symptoms like fatigued and mood swing but one cant relate these symptoms to HCV directly as your mood also changes due to tension etc.
