Hi, i'm a 24 years old male, i have a bubbly urine, when i drink too much water(like 5 liters a day) it disappears, my simple one time urine test doesn't show any protein in my urine and my creatinin is 1.13, should i take 24 h test or that test was enough? Can microalbumin causes bubbles?
She often has blood in her urine, her urologist believes due to the stent. She had been on Avastin for about 6 months and her oncologist decided a month ago to take her off due to high protein levels in her urine. Her urologist thinks the urine test could be skewed too much by the blood. The protein levels in her blood are acceptable. My question is: are there any other tests to assess how the Avastin is effecting her kidneys? Is there a type of blood test that can be used reliably?
Saw my doctor because terrible irritation in penis tip, sore testicles and having to urinate all night. No burning when I pee or discharge but significant pain at tip. Doctor did first catch urine test; neg for leuk & nitrates, said it could be prostatis so he gave me 7 days of Cipro. Had a minor surgery a few days later so did not take it. The next week it got even worse, so went to urologist. Same symptoms but worse. Dr. asked if it could be std, I told him I doubt it...
Unfortunately the medical center that I go to offers the urine test (PCR NAAT) only for Chlamydia. They test for gonorrhea only with the swab test. It was painful/irritating the last time that I did the test.
That said, the previous medical center in the city that I went to did urine test for both gonorrhea and chlamydia, but I then found out that they were doing cultures on the urine to test for the gonorrhea and chlamydia (not the PCR NAAT test).
Hii all..I am 7 months pregnant and in my lab test they detected very less pus in my urine...any advice,what should I do...is it bad at this point ?what precautions ??
My doctor has an assistant, not a nurse, who assists her with checking patient vitals, etc. the assistant makes frequent demands for a urine test...4 in the last 8 months which seem excessive to me. She gets quite testy if I am unable to comply and has left an unpleasant message on my phone once. Today she brought me a full paper cup of water and insisted I drink it. Am I legally required to submit to these tests? Is there a certain number of urine tests required per year?
First day urine has the most details (vitamins) from our bodies. Being pregnant is being pregnant. If you are it will for sure say positive. If it's really early then first day urine is more accurate. The sooner the better. Most women know by the time you can test at anytime of day if they are pregnant but it is safe and sound to know early on. Good luck. If you still are worried then proceed to the doctor. Ask everything. If you aren't I'd look into birth control.
I have been going to a ct pain management for 5 years. I have never failed a urine test. I take 10mg oxycodone and in April my test came back as having fentanyl in it. The rpn said since I never failed a test she was going to have me do a saliva test. She also said that if fentanyl she’s up again she would not be able to give me my oxy. Ihave a appt with the dr next week. I am scared.
Has anyone tried the gender maker test to find out the sex of the baby early and did it work for you? We thought it might be fun. :) I'm almost positive it's a boy. All "symptoms" lead to boy! You kept it a secret as to what time or when you performed the first test and also what you had consumed. You need to provide more details in order to get an appropriate response. For the last test you just didn't wait long enough. Sugar peaks 2-4 hours after consumption.
Your fasting glucose are within the normal range so why all the urine testing? Are you aware that urinalysis dipsticks have major disadvantages and may not be accurate?
There are already tests available to test your monoamines (serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine). Those are usually urine tests and they are pretty expansive (about 400-600$ but genetics is an information technology which means it is evolving exponentially which means you will see the price lowered in the years to come) .
Depression can be more complicated than modifications in your monoamines. Some have the biological depression and some don't.

I had a protected sex encounter with a sex worker about 3 weeks ago. At the third day of my exposure, i did an Urine Culture Test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Test result is negative. However, these few days i am having some weird tickling feeling on my penis. Sometimes, i can feel some sharp tickling at the tip of my penis, especially when i am walking. But, I do not feel any pain during my urination.
My questions are:
- Is the urine test on the 3rd day conclusive?
When they test for M'done in urine (at least on a clinic) they test for it's metabolite (called EDDP for short) & it's ratio to creatinine levels,
There is a drug called Bentyl (Dicycloverine) prescribed for IBS that can potentially cause a false positive. There may be others too. It also depends on how good the lab is that is doing the testing. Sometimes there's sloppy work or cross-contamination, particularly in the 'collection' phase.
I'd request a retest.
I've been going to a pain clinic for 2 years,for the last 5 times I have been given a urine tast .I've nothing to hide,but I had to pay 437.00 for the last test.As I am on disability and it is getting expensive.Last time I had to go in for a stimulator check they wanted me to take another urine test.I think that they are ripping me off.
Im in the UK and it seems the first step is the urine test according to my NHS walk in centre but you can ask for the blood test straight away if your really worried....but I think that depends on any symptoms.
Ive heard different opinions on the urine test though, I have been told that its no good by one or two people but then afew others have said its fine for an intial check.
Ive had a urine test and it was ok so Im just curious, as it was clear is that it? am I clear for diabetes?
