I was diagnosed with HIV in August 09. When my first labs were taken my Viral load was at 55,000 and my CD4 was at 228. I have been on Atripla for 5 months now. The only side effects I've experienced so far are a little weight gain and some minor fatigue, although the fatigue seems to have subsided. My doctor recommends that I switch medications because I am not undetectable yet. He wants to put me on Truvada, Norvir and Rayotaz. I am scared to switch medications for many reasons.
Due to very high risk demographic and the area, I was put on truvada for a month, due to open wounds in the mouth, having not successfully found out her status. Her age group is about 25% HIV infected, I should have thought about that before. I'm still friends with her though she is scared to get tested.
I wouldn't have asked you again were in not for the worsening symptoms I'm going through.

Sir,I had a unprotected sex with a sex worker due to condom break, i found it after sex over. Its almost 35 days ago. Just after exposure, i started Truvada once a day after approx. 6 hrs from exposure. On next i tracked sex worker for testing elisa hiv thats come back negetive. I completed 28 course of truvada. LFT,KFT are normal that done after 32 days of exposure, but CBC having high lavel lymphocytes 49.3% and low Eosinophils .90%.
Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.
Since the chances a quite low Can I stop taking pep or can I stop kaletra and remain with truvada take it upto 28days.coz kaletra gives me diarrhea.
How can I change from taking Truvada in the noon to taking Truvada at midnight? For instance, should I do two doses of Truvada in one 24 hour period or should I do no doses in one 24 hour period to get it right?
3. When the doctors prescribed the medication I ended up taking 4x the recommended dose of Aluvia. This was due to me having received four cans of Aluvia,not realizing that each can was meant to last 1 week.

I have been taking Truvada since 2008, 5 months ago I did the pregnancy test, the result was positive.
I am worry about side effects to my baby if I continue to take Truvada during my pregnant...

So I had a discussion with my doctor yesterday regarding the recent elevation in my AST, ALT ( about 1.5 x ULN). I am LAM resistance, on Truvada for almost 2 years now. Everything else (HBV DNA undetectable, ultrasound ok, CBC, fibroscan + all other stuff i have no idea) came back normal. AST + ALT was in normal range all the time but 3 months recently have been up a bit.
She advised me to continue monitoring my condition and warn me about possible resistance.
After several hours going from a hospital to another, I finally could get a Truvada pill in the very deadline limit of the treatment, probably between the 72nd and 74th hour after the sex.
I was quite desperate and I felt that the staff in this hospital wasn't too much prepared to take cases like mine with HIV risk envolved. It took too many hours, even though I tried to explain them the gravity about this situation.
Started PEP at roughly 56 hours, was prescribed Truvada and Kaletra (those orange ones). However in such panic I took the one Truvada and stupidly only one Kaletra (I was meant to take two), the second tablet I took at roughly 68 hours. I then realised my stupidity and the next day (about 80 hours) I began to take the correct dosage (one truvada and two Kaletra twice daily).
Tested negative for all other STD's inc. HIV on roughly 12th Jan.
Will truvada and and a respiratory antibiotics have interqction/ side effects if simultaneously on both medicine?
or which antibiotics and safe with truvada for respiratory infection?
who took a full STD sample blood and urine. Also, she gave me a script for Truvada. I had from my knowlege protected sex with her. What is my risk and should I take Truvada? My window is closing!
8100 6 months before count was 4600 and normal range is 4000 to 11000
Platelete : 3.64 6 months before count was 2.1 and normal range is 1.5 to 4.5
Serum createnin is normal and SGOT/SGPT remained bit increased that because of Truvada.
