ll understand,well on my last post I told you I had started pep,I got the pep from San Fran general hospital on Xmas day,reason I went there is because they were the only place open,well they gave me a prescription for a couple days supply,told me to take 2 keletra twice daily and one truvada once daily,so yesterday.
And if your partner is positive, no, you can’t trade drugs with each other — different ones are right for different people, and Truvada is the only one to date approved by government regulators for HIV prevention. You should also not take Truvada with Hepsera, a drug used to treat hepatitis B.
Hello, I probably have HSV 1/2 and am currently on PrEP, or Truvada (HIV-prevention drug). Are my chances of acquiring HIV still doubled (I think the reason is the cells HIV loves to infect are closer to the surface of the skin due to HSV), or are they same as if I weren't immunocompromised? Would taking antivirals in tandem do anything?
I'll start 1st by saying I'm a gay male who sought out Truvada as PrEp as a way to further eliminating my risk of HIV. Late October 2015 I sought out an infectious disease Dr who was knowledgeable of Truvada as Prep. Prior to him giving a prescription I was required to have a full blood panel along with a HIV test also screened for Hepatitis. This is when I discovered I was Infected with Chronic HBV. I had elevated alt & ast as well as a viral load in the millions.
My doctor prescribed me Truvada generic 43 hours later, and I have now been taking it daily as PrEP. Would this also work as PEP, in case I was exposed?

Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.
I searched couple of papers and i concluded not to double the dose in the case of i used that pill. But i continued my next dose as planned by taking truvada and isentress at the same time.
Although not sure, my question is missing only one dose raltegravir at day 22 could have impact on the efficacy of hiv Pep?
Since the chances a quite low Can I stop taking pep or can I stop kaletra and remain with truvada take it upto 28days.coz kaletra gives me diarrhea.
How can I change from taking Truvada in the noon to taking Truvada at midnight? For instance, should I do two doses of Truvada in one 24 hour period or should I do no doses in one 24 hour period to get it right?
