Is combivir an appropriate HIV nPEP regimen for one time unprotected encounter with CSW of unknown status in Kenya? I'm a 24 yr male from UK. Insertive vaginal and oral. Asked about Kaletra and doc said it's low risk doesn't recommend, but I am still very worried. Started within 12 hours, but still within 72 if kaletra should be added. I feel terrible of course but appreciate any advice.

and im sure theres lots of people taking truvada who would want to know. and i wasnt asking if truvada helps with corona virus. i was asking if it inhibits your ability to fight it off.

Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.

So I had a discussion with my doctor yesterday regarding the recent elevation in my AST, ALT ( about 1.5 x ULN). I am LAM resistance, on Truvada for almost 2 years now. Everything else (HBV DNA undetectable, ultrasound ok, CBC, fibroscan + all other stuff i have no idea) came back normal. AST + ALT was in normal range all the time but 3 months recently have been up a bit. She advised me to continue monitoring my condition and warn me about possible resistance.

After several hours going from a hospital to another, I finally could get a Truvada pill in the very deadline limit of the treatment, probably between the 72nd and 74th hour after the sex. I was quite desperate and I felt that the staff in this hospital wasn't too much prepared to take cases like mine with HIV risk envolved. I Volunteered in Kenya for three months in 2005. While I was there, I contracted a bladder infection from swimming in an overcrowded pool. I didn't realize it at the time, but the symptoms started while I was there and continued for several months afterwards until it progressed into a kidney infection. I took antibiotics for the kidney infection and was fine. Ever since I have had recurring bladder infections/UTIs at least twice a month. The symptoms are minimal.
