I then went to my family doctor and she was going to prescribe truvada plus tiviacy but she changed her mind and said the tiviacy is too toxic.
So she put my on truvada alone will this even reduce my risk?
I cant find anything online if it is effective or not.
t taking any chances so continuted to take the truvada in the hope it will do something - I believe that truvada only was the original PEP can anybody verify that for me? At around three weeks I got pain all down the sides of my neck for a couple of days. I went for a run at the gym and it disappeared.

He gave me a 2 drug regimen(TRUVADA) as PEP. Started my first pill, 39 hours after the possible exposure. Today is my 9th day of taking it. My questions would be: Do I need to worry about this LOW RISK activity? Is the 2 drug (TRUVADA) PEP regimen good enough for me? I’ve read in CDC that since 2013, WHO guideline for PEP has 3 drug regimen? Is the nurse doing the right thing? I’m very much worried now. Hope you can give light to my situation. Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.
Since the chances a quite low Can I stop taking pep or can I stop kaletra and remain with truvada take it upto 28days.coz kaletra gives me diarrhea.
How can I change from taking Truvada in the noon to taking Truvada at midnight? For instance, should I do two doses of Truvada in one 24 hour period or should I do no doses in one 24 hour period to get it right?
3. When the doctors prescribed the medication I ended up taking 4x the recommended dose of Aluvia. This was due to me having received four cans of Aluvia,not realizing that each can was meant to last 1 week.

I believe have been exposed to the virus and am about to buy (Truvada) at 50 hours.. I know the cutoff is 72, is it worth the $1500 to take the medicine potentially around 70 hours?
So I had a discussion with my doctor yesterday regarding the recent elevation in my AST, ALT ( about 1.5 x ULN). I am LAM resistance, on Truvada for almost 2 years now. Everything else (HBV DNA undetectable, ultrasound ok, CBC, fibroscan + all other stuff i have no idea) came back normal. AST + ALT was in normal range all the time but 3 months recently have been up a bit.
She advised me to continue monitoring my condition and warn me about possible resistance.
After several hours going from a hospital to another, I finally could get a Truvada pill in the very deadline limit of the treatment, probably between the 72nd and 74th hour after the sex.
I was quite desperate and I felt that the staff in this hospital wasn't too much prepared to take cases like mine with HIV risk envolved. It took too many hours, even though I tried to explain them the gravity about this situation.
I usually never have condomless sex, but the guy who had sex with said he was on PReP and even showed me his weekly pill case with the Truvada medication in it and confirmed that he was last tested for HIV and stds in September and is negative. He did not ejaculate inside me. I recently tested for hiv and stds on November 18, 2019 with my primary doctor and tested negative.
