Truvada should not be taken in combination with certain other HIV drugs. Sorry but truvada is not ok in case of tdf resistance , which is only theory because there is notone single case of naive treatment developping resistance.the other antiviral in combo is too weak and similar to lamivudine, it also shares lamivudine mutants and resistance
the correct choice is entecavir which combo with tdf cross protect from development of any resistance
i think there are many tries from drug makers to push truvada because the patent will expire after many years.
Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.
How can I change from taking Truvada in the noon to taking Truvada at midnight? For instance, should I do two doses of Truvada in one 24 hour period or should I do no doses in one 24 hour period to get it right?
3. When the doctors prescribed the medication I ended up taking 4x the recommended dose of Aluvia. This was due to me having received four cans of Aluvia,not realizing that each can was meant to last 1 week.

After i completed my 28 day course of PEP which was August 25th, the physician at the local STI clinic gave me the go ahead to get blood work done 1 week after completion and 3 months post Exposure, now from what i have been reading it is 3 months post last dose of PEP. Is 3 months post exposure definitive? i live in Canada not sure if that makes a difference or not though.
I am Very worried PEP failed, being that i have felt sick the last 3 days.
The risk for acquisition of HIV from unprotected genital sex with an infected partner is less than 1 in 1000. With a condom that risk falls to about 1 in a million even if she was infected. If you were exposed because she is infected and the condom came off, with the Truvada your risk would be less than 1 in 100,000 and perhaps lower.
You have a good plan- get your partner tested. I suspect at that time you will be able to stop taking the Truvada.
I have been taking Truvada since 2008, 5 months ago I did the pregnancy test, the result was positive.
I am worry about side effects to my baby if I continue to take Truvada during my pregnant...

everything seems normal I compared my current tests with old tests all in normal range as before except TLC and Platelet count. Does this show any infection ? or is it truvada effect ?
TLC count : 8100 6 months before count was 4600 and normal range is 4000 to 11000
Platelete : 3.64 6 months before count was 2.1 and normal range is 1.5 to 4.5
Serum createnin is normal and SGOT/SGPT remained bit increased that because of Truvada.
