Definitely change doctor, too difficult to be so ignorant, the most probable thing isnhe is corrupt to prescribe truvada against all guidelines and when it is totally useless and more toxic
guidelines are for tenofovir which is safe on pregnancy, you can keep it for many years since it is probable it will clear hbsag in about 17 years.

Im on pep or prep I don't really know that difference i'm taking Truvada and Isentress for the last 17 days and today I got another possible exposure in the form of a needle stick injury, ive been so stressed I have not be able to work correctly and now have a panicing fear of hiv thinking I will step on needles or be stuck by some crazy person walking in the street.
Can someone tell me if taking Truvada for PreP, can effect the accuracy of the at-home OraQuick test? I have Googled it and can't really find anything about the drug vs the test accuracy. I asked my PCP, who started me on PreP (at my request) and she said the test was fine to use.
This all started because I had unprotected sex with a man I was seeing off and on, back on 12/4/19. I got scared and went to be checked the next day and the ER doc started me on PeP.
Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.
Since the chances a quite low Can I stop taking pep or can I stop kaletra and remain with truvada take it upto 28days.coz kaletra gives me diarrhea.

How can I change from taking Truvada in the noon to taking Truvada at midnight? For instance, should I do two doses of Truvada in one 24 hour period or should I do no doses in one 24 hour period to get it right?

So I had a discussion with my doctor yesterday regarding the recent elevation in my AST, ALT ( about 1.5 x ULN). I am LAM resistance, on Truvada for almost 2 years now. Everything else (HBV DNA undetectable, ultrasound ok, CBC, fibroscan + all other stuff i have no idea) came back normal. AST + ALT was in normal range all the time but 3 months recently have been up a bit.
She advised me to continue monitoring my condition and warn me about possible resistance.
