I read somewhere that there are reports out there that Truvada along can clear hbsag at around 10% per year. Which is if true makes it the best antiviral option for us from what is available.
Lets share ideas on this.
The way I see it it is a powerful combo for hbv. 200mg of tdf and 200 emtricitabine.
tenvir is generic version of tenofovir
tenvir tm is generic version of tenofovir+emtricitabine (truvada) which even more potent than tenofovir alone
entecavir is less potent of both tdf or truvada, i am also on entecavir which is about 1000usd per month changing currency from euro, i have it free in my country but it is absurd to allow such costs for a stupid tablet

Ive been dating this guy which I really like for a while and we had sex with a condom once, then he told me he is HIV positive and is taking truvada, I like him n we r dating but me being HIV negative I can't help but worry if I got it already. What is the probability that I got HIV if he is on truvada and we used a condom? He mentioned he is not rcontagious n has the least aggressive form of HIV. He's been on treatment for 29 years and is undetectable.
It is a very mild form of sore throat that does not hurt nor does it affect swallowing. I was proscribed azithromycin 2 days ago and have taken 3 tablets total thus far with no dramatic improvement.
Besides the sore throat, I have not had any other problems other than fatigue.
I am a hepatitis B patient currently taking the HIV anti-viral drug Truvada. My hep B is very controlled right now and its viral loads undetectable.
I rinsed my penis and swabbed with alcohol after. I also commenced Truvada that evening ( approx 4 hrs post exposure) . Is this adequate . I have now been on it for a week . I was considering commencing kaletra as well . Is my risk high ? would you recommend anything else?

At the time, my doctor informed not to take the generic form of Synthroid. I recently switched pharmacists who prescribed a generic form, Levothyroxine. After a few days of taking the medication, I noticed I had become extremely fatigued all day long and have also recently noticed irritability. Could these symptoms be caused by taking the generic form of the medication?
try nitazoxanide first and if you see no results add tenofovir (do not use the other tablet which is truvada it is tenofovir+ftc but you don t need it, it can have more sides than tenofovir alone and only if you have resistant mutants or tenofovir alone doesn t work can be used)
it makes sense to try ntz first or monitor for another 6-12 months because we have seen from a post there is a new formula for tenofovir with 4.
We had 3 session of sex
After 50 hrs sought for PEP and was given Truvada alone but asked the doc why Truvada, he said I had a low risk and am circumsiced, I then let it pass. I took my medication religiously until I finished it 2 days ago. I am starting experiencing ars symptoms like a sore throat, muscle aches, pain in my neck, armpits and groin but no swollen node but pain where they are located. I am really stressed up with this situation.
I found out at the doctor's office today that Provigil is going generic. Good news/bad news. Bad news is that my insurance has never approved Provigil but my doctor always had a plenty of samples for me. Now, no more samples.
Has anyone tried the generic Provigil?
I've been given the new Nuvigil to try for a week. If that also works then we will fight my insurance company for that.

Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.
I went to my doctor and told him how concerned I was and he agreed to start me of PEP a combination of truvada and isentress. And being the worrier that I am I am now worried about the side effects of the medication. Can someone please help me. Thank you!
Since the chances a quite low Can I stop taking pep or can I stop kaletra and remain with truvada take it upto 28days.coz kaletra gives me diarrhea.
How can I change from taking Truvada in the noon to taking Truvada at midnight? For instance, should I do two doses of Truvada in one 24 hour period or should I do no doses in one 24 hour period to get it right?
3. When the doctors prescribed the medication I ended up taking 4x the recommended dose of Aluvia. This was due to me having received four cans of Aluvia,not realizing that each can was meant to last 1 week.
I am a gay male and have taken Truvada as PrEP daily since last November.
