Try Truvada. There are reports that it clears surface antigen at 11% per year. The benefit of interferon still will be there as it had a long lasting effect.
But etv + tdf is also a good combo. It is just truvada is optimised combo to be less toxic.
From taking entecavir for 6 years i can tell you one thing that just about all drugs enhance etv and sometimes the associated headaches are tough to cope with. And from what I take tenofovir is an even more potent drug with a higher dose.
I have been taking Truvada since 2008, 5 months ago I did the pregnancy test, the result was positive.
I am worry about side effects to my baby if I continue to take Truvada during my pregnant...

Truvada is a coformulation containing two drugs, tenofovir and emtricitabine, both of which are active against HBV as well as HIV.
Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do. Since I waited for more than 3 hours before I was able to see the doctor, I was already drowsy when the doctor talked to me.
I then went to my family doctor and she was going to prescribe truvada plus tiviacy but she changed her mind and said the tiviacy is too toxic.
So she put my on truvada alone will this even reduce my risk?
I cant find anything online if it is effective or not.

in any case there should be new drug sooon although it is very difficult to know if drug makers will allow them on the market since nucs will be ruined at that point since none of them cure hbv
has anyone been prescribed Truvada? If so I would like to know how you are doing with it? and if it is helping your hepatitis b? I have stage 4 kidney disease. My hepitologist just prescribed this med. My labs were not good. He hopes to get the virus under control so I can possibly get a kidney transplant. This would be a kidney from a cadaver donator, someone who had hepatitis b. So I am about to begin my journey.
This new drug was approved by the FDA in April and is now avaliable in the USA.
Truvada was used for hbv patients with less than optimal response to viread and is considered somewhat more potent and even less resistance prone than viread.
Now Gilead has exchanged the 300mg TDF in Truvada with 25mg of TAF, making it well suited for hbv patients with kidney concerns.

I'll start 1st by saying I'm a gay male who sought out Truvada as PrEp as a way to further eliminating my risk of HIV. Late October 2015 I sought out an infectious disease Dr who was knowledgeable of Truvada as Prep. Prior to him giving a prescription I was required to have a full blood panel along with a HIV test also screened for Hepatitis. This is when I discovered I was Infected with Chronic HBV. I had elevated alt & ast as well as a viral load in the millions.
It seemed like no semen had left the condom but my doctor gave me 30 days on Truvada and Tivicay (PEP) and it was 10 hours after the incident. I have now been given 10 days on Doxycycline to make sure no STDs will appear.
My question is: is it safe to take Doxycycline and Truvada/Tivicay at the same time. Do they interferrer with each other or not?
I should not given this drug considering my immune tolerant state! However, I probably can not blame my doctor too much if it dates back ten years ago. But, this failed treatment may induce LAM-resistance in my body. So, I have to take
either tenofovir or Truvada (Tenofovir 300mg/Emtricitabine 200mg). I prefer to take Truvada at the first begining, then switch to Tenofovir after HBV-DNA is undetectable.
Also, I have big concern about my AFP.
attention entecavir works only in naive patients and even in naive patients it has 1,2% resistance, truvada is tenofovir+ftc (ftc similar drug to lam) in combo to prevent resistance and of coruse it has zero resistance until now
entecavir is also less potent than tenofovir, tenofovir is the only drug with zero resistance until now, all other drugs have resistance mutations
entecavir mght be used in case of adefovir resistance or even better a combo of tenofovir and entecavir
There is a chance, 1% of people naturally clear HBSAG every year. Not sure why you were given Truvada, that is a combo drug for HIV. You should have only been given Tenofovir. If you want to buy drugs for cheap, buy them from India, you can even get Vemlidy for really cheap out there. Post your entire history here, maybe you could be a candidate for stopping treatment, for example if you were HEBAG+ before and then became HBEAG- and undetectable on treatment.
I rinsed my penis and swabbed with alcohol after. I also commenced Truvada that evening ( approx 4 hrs post exposure) . Is this adequate . I have now been on it for a week . I was considering commencing kaletra as well . Is my risk high ? would you recommend anything else?

After doing some reading, I see that Truvada+Kaletra (or Truvada alone) is a commonly prescribed PeP regimine. I know that Truvada is part of the Stribild combo, but Im not sure why this was the specialists choice? I saw that there is an ongoing clinical trial with regards to Stribild as PeP, which would mean that it is not yet approved for such purposes?
My questions for you are: Will Stribild even be an effective PeP treatment?
