Avatar n tn My first period after starting Trinessa was late. In fact, I wondered if I was pg again and my son was just a few months old! I want to say it started on the last pill that it started. Since then, it seems to start around day 4 or 5 or the last week of pills, but that first month was weird.
18026835 tn?1462471175 I'm 21 years old and have been on Trinessa for about 2 months. With the first month, my period was scheduled to start halfway through my pill cycle and instead I just spotted a little. And today I am spotting again and I'm not supposed to start for another 3 weeks. I'm very nervous and I don't want to be pregnant since it won't be my fiancée's and I don't want to deal with a baby from that awful situation....
Avatar f tn I am on Trinessa birth control pills. I was wondering if I could use my birth control pills to start my period about a week early, only because my boy friend is coming home from the military the week that I am supposed to start my period and I don't really want this to happen. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn My birth control is Trinessa.
Avatar n tn I am on trinessa. It is my first month on birth control ever and usually my periods are about 19-25 days apart. I am on my 3rd day of the inactive pills right now and have still not gotten my period. I originally went on birth control because my periods are so irregular and to protect myself against pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test two days ago just to settle my nerves and it came back negative. I still have not gotten it though.
Avatar f tn Birth control pills have instructions about what to do in case of missed pills, including when you need to use a backup method. Usually missing one pill is fine. If you've been breastfeeding, that can also provide some protection against pregnancy (although I would certainly not rely on just that).
Avatar f tn Hello! Sorry this is long, but here is my story... I have a couple questions. I have always had painful and irregular periods. This past July, I went to my family doctor after fainting, vomiting, and having severe abdominal pain. My Dr. had to go deliver a baby, so I lied in the room in horrible pain for a couple hours; when he finally came back in, the pain was gone. He did a pelvic ultrasound a couple days later and found fluid, which led to a diagnosis of a ruptured ovarian cyst.
999058 tn?1257563650 About 4 to 5 days later, my fiance and I had intercourse again and afterward, when I went to use the restroom, there was pinkish spotting on the toilet paper. This is new for me. I have NEVER bled after sex before in my life. Not even when I lost my virginity. It wasn't "rough" either.
Avatar f tn I am currently on trinessa and have been for a couple of years. A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.
Avatar n tn i was on the shot for 3 months, my period was acting up. it took me 3 months to get back on it. i just started the trinessa birth control pill a month ago but i feel nauseated, i take it everyday and i am a week late. am i pregnant or is it the pill playing mind games with me?
Avatar f tn She's on birth control, so as long as she took it regularly- there is only a very slim chance she could be pregnant. It does fail, but it's pretty rare. The only way to know for sure is to have her take a test- but there are many other factors that can cause a late period. Have her take a test, then you can go from there- best of luck and let us know how you are both doing.
Avatar m tn Hey 17780, how did this work out for you? I am thinking of doing the same thing. Bad timing with a vacation, but I am afraid of making it worse by adding spotting to my month when not expecting it. How did it work out for you?
Avatar f tn Since you're on a triphasic pill, you would have to take them out of order to skip cause of the different level of hormones in each week. Even still many women who take them out of order still have spotting or breakthrough bleeding because triphasic pills don't work effectively for skipping like monophasic pills do. For some women they can't effectively skip their periods even with a monophasic pill either cause their body won't deal with it for whatever reason.
Avatar f tn It's always tricky to know but would doubt it since you faithfully take your pill. Really, I do doubt it. This is all likely hormonal and your body adjusting to the pill. You can take a test around 2.5 weeks after your last unprotected sex to know for sure! Let us know!
Avatar f tn And also will our little mishap have caused us to get of again? She is also currently taking cephalexin for her cold and trinessa for birth control.... please help with any information you might have, thanks...
Avatar n tn that is what happens be for and after you have your baby and your period i had that happen to me and when i went to the doctor they said that it was old blood that was from my period but if that still happens go to the doctor and see what they tell you tell them that you have that problem and take a pg test to see if you are pleas let me now how it go"s k.
Avatar f tn Don't take offense I have pcos I lost weight and my periods returned the more weight I lost the more frequent they became until perfect on time :)
Avatar f tn t technically have to take them, but I always do to stay in the habit. Well I took the two to make up for missing them along with the new pack with the white pills and have had my period ever since, going on 7 days with cramping and heavy bleeding, but the bleeding has since slowed yesterday. The cramping is different than what I have felt before, not constant. Comes and goes. Should I be alarmed, call my doctor?
Avatar f tn When we looked up the side effects, they included fainting, headaches, dizziness. So, the next plan of action was for me to discontinue the use of the TriNessa and the Celexa. After one day of discontinue use, I felt better. I was still having pressure headaches, just not as severe. I was still dizzy, but I could actually make it through a day of work, and I wasn’t crying anymore. Now it has been almost two weeks of not being on any medication.
