Avatar m tn Hi all! I had a heart attack and was diagnosed with diabetes almost a year ago that turned my life upside down. Since the attack and quadruple bypass surgery I've lost my house, car, and can no longer do the work I've been doing for the last 30years b/c of the physical requirements. I've applied for and been denied Disability and don't know where to turn. My challenge now is being able to the afford my medicine needed every month of about $150.
Avatar m tn I have little to no drug insurance. I went to a site which offered discount coupons. I called them to ask them if this is a come on price or is this within reason the price every month. They would not give me an ansewr. Does someone here have any experience with this?
Avatar n tn 1 month later he was not saticfied with the drop in cholestoral so he put me on a fairley new drug called Trilipix. I take 10mg of lisinopril for high blood pressure, 10 mg of crestor, and 145mg of trilipix. After being put on the trilipix I started felling tired and having stomache problems (constipated and cramping). I went back to have my a1c check last week and it was 8.0.
Avatar m tn I ran into a Protonix discount program that is supposed to work over your phone by texting PRO. Has any one used this program or one like it? I looked into places on this forum but could not find if there was a better place for this question so I apologize if I am in the wrong section. I currently use protonix and if I can save money on my prescription that would be great. Thanks for your insight.
Avatar f tn Thank you for answering my question. Yes I take trilipix and lipitor.
Avatar m tn Is there any program or any cooperative group buyer to reach and get some discount? I appreciate any info whoch could help me. Thanks a lot.
458090 tn?1256321162 s on the FertilityLifeLines website. Its is called the Fetility Assist Program 2 and it says you can save up to $500 from Freedom Pharmacy for this drug. I have not used the coup., so I don't know all the details, but it's worth looking into. I have to pay out of pocket for everything except the initial consultation, so saving any amount is helpful to me.. thought is might be helpful to others.
667078 tn?1316000935 SS has a discount program to help pay copay. I applied and was accepted in May. SS said call right before you call the pharmacy for refill and they will handle it. So I did yesterday. SS calls me back today and says my mail in pharmacy (the only pharmacy my insurance plan lets me use) does not honor SS discount plan. I call the Pharmacy, they say they will honor it but they got 800 applications from SS and they are still sorting them out.
667078 tn?1316000935 I went through being accepted to SS discount program never to have them come through. Then they suggested I apply for needs based through the Chronic Disease Fund in July they accepted me a day after I refilled even though I faxed in the paperwork asap. They would not honor it until my next three month refill in October. I sold my mother's gold necklace to pay the three hundred dollars. Months later they honored it and credited my credit card.
1687929 tn?1319426011 You can apply for medicaid here or you can also ask the hospital for a discount. Arkansas has a new program if make to much to be able to obtain medicaid they have another program called ARhealth try checking into that. I know how it feels.
201379 tn?1319991331 Anyone have information on any patient help programs available from Salix? I got info on a program from my hepatologist that is a $100 discount, but this drug is over $1300/month, so not a big help if you are paying out of pocket.
Avatar m tn Try contacting the manufacturer of your medication (will be listed on the box or container) and ask them if they have a patient assistance program - many of them do - and they usually are for either a great discount or even for free.
Avatar f tn If you are not eligible for any coverage that could help there is the Patient Assistance Program where a medication company can provide the medication without cost. Medicare should be able to help since you said you have it. Try calling their hotline. If they are unable to explain things try the Medicare Rights Center. If a medication is working you shouldnt have to change it.
Avatar m tn Contact reckitt benckiser who manufactures suboxone/subutex. Ask about the suboxone assistance program. They'll tell you if your son is eligible for it (he should be) but like flmagi said - there is a 2 patient limit for sub docs so make sure you look around.
1165776 tn?1263013272 I think there is a program called AVC... I used to have a credit card through citi bank that had 6 month same as cash.... but they just closed that program. I am actually looking into options too! I do not know if there are any Military programs though... maybe you could google it?
Avatar n tn t really insurance, but a discount program. So, far there coverage on prescription drugs(non-diabetic) have actually been better than I thought. But, as most people know, insurance companies & pre-existing conditions don't mix well. I've enough pump supplies to carry me through thus far, but will need more eventually and the medical coverage is iffy at best.
Avatar m tn I have no medical insurance so my Dr's nurse helped me apply for the pegassist program and gave me a 50% discount on all lab work and dr. appts. The hospital has given me a 5 yr payment program to pay off my biopsy. Don't give up - keep searching and you'll find a way to get treatment. Good Luck!
Avatar n tn fieldtype=drugid Copy and paste the link into your browser address bar. This program is designed for those without insurance that cannot afford it. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn One of the medicines he is currently on is Entecavir (Baraclude by Bristol Myers Squibb). My question is does anyone of a program in the Philippines that can help me and my family pay for it?
428886 tn?1217682034 The test is 745.00. I was not prepared for that. No I do not have insurance. I called a discount health program. Left a message. Hopefully they call back soon. Truthfully, I am frustrated. I seem to be running against every wall out there. I have 2 more options. I just have to believe that one of them will work out.
2080404 tn?1643113754 I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. You might want to ask your family Dr about counseling. They may know of a place you can go for free or at a discount. Did you go to college? The reason I'm asking is because my daughter went to college and now she goes there for her therapy at a very reduced rate. Even if you did'nt go to college you might want to call some of you local ones and ask if they have a program for PTSD.
Avatar m tn Back before Obamacare, most of California counties had a program called CMSP (County Medical Services Program) but some of the urban counties (LA included) ran there own clinics instead. CMSP was pretty good. I know because I had it when I was younger in Northern California (they even gave me a free blue cross card). But the county clinics that I've been to down here have really sub par services.
Avatar m tn I was on Sub for 21 days and have had problems since my last 'crumb' and that was 35 days ago. I wish you the best in your quest to get clean --- but I know that Sub is one very wicked master ---- much worse than most of our DOC and doesn't want you to let it go. Hope you can find a way to get off of it before it really grabs hold of you. I felt great until I decided to quit Sub. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn Hi, I just got a flyer from my electric company which states that people with (among other things) MS can get a discount on their rates for "heating and cooling needs to prevent the deterioration of the persons medical condition". It is actually not just for MS, but other conditions (including autoimmune issues) or, from what the form states, anything your doctor deems a condition that requires "additional heating and/or cooling".
Avatar m tn The company that manufactures it has a card available for a discount program....Im sorry, finding nouns is hard for me right now, and I cant remember the name of the company. Go online to the company website, and they have info on it. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lisinopril (bp) for 5 years and Trilipix and Simvastatin (cholesterol) for the last 3-4 years.
