Avatar f tn t think it is rosacea. It would be odd for it to suddenly inflame out of nowhere. Sudden breakouts are generally caused by, as you suspected, an allergic reaction to something you've ingested or applied to your body. I'm assuming you've investigated what you may have had a reaction to. If not, eliminate any possible food intolerances from your diet (new vitamins/supplements? Sweeteners? Spices?) or products that may be to blame.
Avatar n tn Hello, (wasnt sure where to place this, because i am unsure what it could be) i have had this rash for 2 months now, more like a hot flush - because i dont have it all day (well at its max) i wake up with a slight tinge, but barely noticable, by the time at work its gone, but by 12 - 2pm it flares up, cheeks turn red and hot, stays around for like 2 hours than disipates slowly, by 6 - 7pm most of the redness is gone i have noticed - my skin is patchy (white patch like when it flares up) - l
Avatar m tn I have always had rough skin with clogged pores all over my body, except for the bottoms of my arms and legs, the tops have them though.
Avatar m tn visit i could afford, said it could be, after giving me triamcinolone, which did absolutely nothing except for make it not itch for about ten minutes. what could this be? because if it was suborheic dermatitis, why would it all of a sudden show up at 22 yrs old. the only reason i think it could be transmitted from my last girlfried is because i only experienced these symptoms after being with her. but then again i cant find anything transmitable that looks like this.
1144373 tn?1261292357 There are apparently many forms of Rosacea. For this one there was no treatment. Like a cold, she had to wait for it to run its course and clear up on it's own. A couple of months later it was pretty well gone and never came back. I found these websites about Rosacea that may be of help. The later suggests an oppressed immune system that needs to be boosted and detoxifying the system.
Avatar f tn I had been putting betamethasone on it which would clear it up but then would come back within a week if I quit using cream. Finally got insurance and was prescribed a po antibiotic and triamcinolone acetonide dental paste?? Even that seemed to help and antibiotics kept it gone for about 1-3 months but back. I'm 28. Ive quit using all products and even towels on face to no avail. I have had a hx of staph back in elementary that I'd dormant and get spring time for 3 years.
Avatar m tn I don't know if this is cause by the cold from winter or ever since I started the acne.org regimen but I keep getting redness on the sides of my nostrils (creases area) and on the underneath bits. It is not itchy and there seem to be little clogged pores on the red skin but not really noticeable, unless I'm up close to the mirror and stretches that area out for close examination. But it is nearly always there to a greater or lesser extent. It's not dry or flaky.
Avatar m tn I also have the eczema behind my ears and use Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment (used only for the trunk of the body) but when I use it behind my ears it slowly makes a great recovery with all the pigment.
Avatar f tn My son, at 8 months, was given the aformentioned med for treatment of excema. The warning my doctor gave was to ensure it doesn't get in his face.My husband and I deployed leaving my mother in law to care for our son. She mistakenly put the med on his face and the area around his mouth is now discolored. He's a brown skinned baby with a huge white patch around his mouth. She applied this med over a year ago and we have been told by other doc that the color would come back in a year.
Avatar n tn Hello, Kenalog is a steroid (Triamcinolone) and Synvisc is a hylan which is used for osteoarthritis.Long term use of both can cause changes in the skin, facial swelling and redness and flushing of the skin. However as you have been diagnosed with rosacea,so other causes also need to be looked into. The exact cause of rosacea is still unknown but some of the aggravating factors are gentics, mite sometimes found in hair follicles (Demodex folliculorum),H.
Avatar f tn I waxed my stomach , chest and armes last week then 4 days later i get two red pimples with white head and as the hair grow the pimples started to spread out and increased only on stomach and chest ? i used calamine for two days didn't work ? is it from wax ( as it is my first time for stomach wax ) or it could be infection from the wax materials ??
Avatar n tn t believe it is a yeast infection as I have tried a Kenacombe ointment alot which is like a steroid antiseptic ointment used for thrush. This ointment seems to eventually clear it up But it never permanently goes away. as soon as you use the tool again whether its sex or masturbation it almost always comes back. The tearing stings and makes it hard to pull back just to wash it. inflamed areas are always the top of the tip and underneath where the foreskin stretches.
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be rosacea. Rosacea is a cutaneous disorder primarily of convexities of the central part of the face , such as forehead; cheeks ;nose; and chin. Pimples are sometimes included as part of the definition. Treatment options vary from antibiotic creams, antihistaminics, sun screens to laser treatment.A dermatologist’s evaluation will be the best. Hope it helps.
Avatar m tn Hello Dr. HHH/ Dr. EWH, I'm a straight male. I have taken a HIV I & II Antigen and Antibody Screening Test 12 weeks after my exposure, which should be considered low risk as I read some of the previous threads here. Unprotected Oral Sex and Protected Vaginal Sex, both insertive to a commercial sex worker. Result is non-reactive. During the window period, I have stopped smoking. I'm quite prone to mouth ulcers and quitting smoking made the mouth ulcers happened more frequent.
Avatar f tn [16; Female; 5 '8; 136lbs] So to keep this short, I have red cheeks. It's been present for all of my life and it's one of my main insecurities. No other redness is apparent on my apart from my cheeks. No bumps, veins, and burning on them, it's just a solid, smooth redness that fades near my mouth and somewhat in the middle of my cheek.
Avatar m tn Thanks for responding. I am aware of its purpose, however l have used it for 3 years and it stops the bumps from appearing. As soon as l get tingling, l start to use it and l do not get an outbreak. I am just healing on a lesion that l did not use it on. I have had this lesion for 8weeks and on valtrex the past 2.
Avatar n tn //www.facedoctor.ca is a helpful site for the treatment of rosacea.
Avatar m tn You have likely read this but for others who may read this later: Causes: Experts are not sure what causes rosacea. The following related factors are thought to contribute: Abnormalities in facial blood vessels: Skin specialists (dermatologists) suggest that abnormalities in the blood vessels of the face cause the flushing, persistent redness, and visible blood vessels. What causes the inflammation of the blood vessels is still a mystery.
Avatar f tn You can use tacrolimus ointment for this after consulting a dermatologist. Using this rosacea often resolves the itch, redness, and tenderness of steroid-induced rosacea in 7 to 10 days with twice daily application. Complete clearing of steroid-induced rosacea usually takes 1 to 2 months. Sometimes clearing takes a bit longer. Avoiding rosacea triggers, such as caffeine, spicy foods, and alcohol, also may help clear the skin.
Avatar n tn ), weather changes, sun exposure, exercise, alcohol consumption, emotional upsets, and spicy food may trigger blushing and aggravate rosacea. The symptoms of rosacea generally tend to come and go. The skin may be clear for weeks, months, or years and then erupt again. Rosacea generally lasts for years. The medications that you are receiving are alright for the condition and you would definitely see some benefit with these.
Avatar m tn I go to this weird Korean skin care place for my bacne. A few months ago, they injected triamcinolone+lidocaine into a few specific acne spots. I started itching like crazy, breathing was difficult, and they let me go home after injecting me with an antihistamine (I imagine). Rash went away after my 3 hour nap.
Avatar m tn I have since moved to another state bringing along my past medical records for my new doctor. He said his program does not provide him with Kenalog and so he gave me a shot of Decadron 4 mg every three months. It has been a week since my shot and my allergies are starting to return. What is the difference between the two, and which one is better? Should I seek another doctor or can I go to a clinic and get my shots there since I have my past medical records with me?
