1682219 tn?1305019070 i learned in school you can use olive oil as a home remedy, be care rinising with salt water, dont do it to hard as this can loosen the clot you could go to the dentist and have them put dry soclet paste in there, this will save you from having to pack it a few times a day, you could ask them to prescribe the paste to you, its called Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Dental paste. some dentist will give you some, some wont. but i would ask and dont take no for an answer!
1372757 tn?1305916571 Besides lysine supplements you can avoid acidic food, and eat lots of parsley, high in lysine. If they're really problematic you can get a prescription for triamcinolone acetonide dental paste. It's expensive but works well.
Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed an dental paste for me called Triamcinolone Acetone dental paste. Usually I can get rid of canker sores and such with lysine or simply eating lots of parsley or using acidopholus, but when all else fails, a little dab of this stuff does the trick. Although it may be aggravated because of dental issues, you can't say it isn't there because of tx. It could be a combination of the two as well.
Avatar f tn I had been putting betamethasone on it which would clear it up but then would come back within a week if I quit using cream. Finally got insurance and was prescribed a po antibiotic and triamcinolone acetonide dental paste?? Even that seemed to help and antibiotics kept it gone for about 1-3 months but back. I'm 28. Ive quit using all products and even towels on face to no avail. I have had a hx of staph back in elementary that I'd dormant and get spring time for 3 years.
Avatar n tn I experienced burining lips first after eating bbq in August, then every month since then. The triggers vary from pears, lemon pepper, hot sauce, toothpaste. So I finally went to the doctor, he prescribed Triamcinolone lip paste, and advised me to switched my tooth paste to organic Tom's tooth paste. So far my lips are better, I don't know what brought on these symptoms, but so far the tooth paste switch has helped.

Avatar f tn She stated that it was Geographical tongue, but it has gotten larger since. She prescribed me Clotrimazole lozenges and Triamcinolone paste, which the paste is disgusting. This is really scaring me. I am still worried that it might be something else, i.e. cancer. Any opinions appreciated.

Avatar n tn I did see another doctor today, but to be quite honest, he was not very good -- and he completely ignored what I said and instead prescribed me dental paste aka Triamcinolone Acetonide without even telling me exactly what I had that he was prescribing this to me for. I had to ask the pharmacist and he said it is for candida (lol what? so random because the doctor never said anything).
Avatar n tn It appears that the infection source is dental origin. Seeing a dentist to deliver appropriate dental treatemnt is advised.
Avatar f tn If cost is a major issue and you live in the US, you may be able to find a dental school or a dental hygiene school to find treatment at reduced rates. They are very thorough and these students will take care of you. They are checked and supervised by licensed dentists or hygienists. The only major drawback is that it tends to take longer to get the complete treatment done. Another option may be to check with the local dental society to see what resources they have available.
Avatar n tn It is kind of hard to whiten your teeth and not have one touched. For example there are tooth paste with whiteners you brush your teeth with it and that tooth is being whitened with the paste. The only thing that you can't do to that tooth is get it bleached only the dentist can do bleaching and he knows what to do with the tooth.
Avatar f tn is there anything i can do to help the pain? i use sensitive tooth paste but it hasnt seemed to work much.
Avatar f tn I got my teeth cleaned, and fillings because I had cavities, and they placed like some white paste over my big cavity. I forgot what it's called but because they we're worried that the procedure would to stressful for me. They didn't want to risk it. I was 27wks.
Avatar n tn The inside of our mouth is just like the skin on the rest of our body. We shed old cells constantly which are replaced by new ones. When we brush our teeth, we can often dislodge a "flurry" of old cells, just like if we rub the skin on our arms vigorusly...........we can see the old cells sloughing off. Do you think that might be what you're seeing, or when you say "peeling," do you mean longer strands of skin are coming off?
Avatar f tn Thereafter any other dental work on the lower left hand side of my mouth took weeks to completely heal because of the nerve sensitivity. The tooth currently giving me a problem also has a root canal and a crown and is on the lower left side of my mouth. Ever since I had that root canal, almost two years ago as well, it has bothered me off and on. Now I feel really stupid, because I was having NO PROBLEMS with it until I let dentist ground down the crown.
954335 tn?1246405954 t be offended, but I Googled Abcess Teeth and thewre was way too much to copy and paste. I do know that an abcess can drain and infection can spread, it can also make one very sick. That's from personal experience, so please if you have an abcess call your doctor.
Avatar n tn If an endo did the root canal, go to another for a second opinion. If the root canal is redone make sure that they do not use sargenti paste (formaldehyde) on it....NEVER NEVER NEVER.
1650401 tn?1301564700 Thank you for your reply. I think it is due to the new sensitivity tooth paste that I am using. But in the mean time the gums are no more red and the itching has also stoped. It is just the burning of the gums if I eat something hot like chilies etc. I have scheduled an apoint ment with the dentist.
