tramadol with naproxen

i am currently taking 20mg citalopram, i suffer with server back problems and im usually prescribed naproxen 250mg which help with the pain. Am i able to take my naproxen with my citalopram? as i am currently lots of pain and unsure what can take.

My fiancee' has been prescribed Tramadol, which worked very well for him but he has gone through 40 pills in 10 days and the way his dr. wrote his script it says "use 1-2 tablets every 8 hours as needed" so he cannot get a refill for another 2 weeks. He saw a local dr. who prescribed Flexeril, Percocet and Naproxen.

I was once given tramadol and cocodamol together in hospital, and take them together regularly now. However, the tramadol must NOT be the type which is combined with paracetamol, as then you would be overdosingon paracetamol. What you don't say is what strengths you are talking about. I take cocodamol 30mg two tablets, which is extremely strong. There are cocodamol mixtures with less codeine phosphate in them. Personally I take the strong version and add in one 50mg Tramadol.

Regarding the naproxen and his kidneys, I'm pretty sure naproxen is considered an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory). NSAID's can cause kidney issues. It is possible that he may have done some damage to his liver/kidneys from his abuse of the pills. How long was he using,and how much?

Am having stomach,chest and back pains,heartburn, and puking am all ways severly starving, and I've had blood test xrays, colonoscopy,a scope to my small intestine, and they say my Pancreas and vile duck r swollen and i c a gastro Dr in June and the pain and puking is so extreme. Then my dr prescribed naproxen to take with the tramadol. It just barely takes the edge off my pain and cramps.

Usually the doctor will tell you not to take any opiates 8 or so hours before your injection if they are also injecting you with something like fentanyl along with the steroid. Tramadol is technically an opioid, although synthetic, it is still considered a narcotic. Tramadol and Tylenol are not the same as Tramadol is an opioid as well as acts as an SNRI. You should google Tramadol and read about it before you take it or call your doctor.

Hopefully you mean 300mg of tramadol and 1000mg of the Naproxen. (gm is the abbreviation for gram; mg means milligram and 1000mg =1Gm) Both doses are large as single doses even in mg. Maybe they are totals for doses that are spread out over each day? You mentioned several digestive tract diseases. They are often irritated by drugs like Naproxen (NSAIDS - non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs) so I'd be careful and report any bleeding or stomach pain.

If I knew more about your current pain and injuries I could be more specific. If you are not on antidepressants, ask them for Tramadol with Acetaminophen, which would be much more appropriate. Nucynta is an synthetic (Seratonin Pathway) drug that works very well. Aquatic Physical Therapy should also be considered to help the deconditioning from the accidents. I'll do my best..... Here is the easiest way to look at it, (i think?) ... Percocet has tylenol in it, however, oxycodone and oxycontin are just straight percocet, no tylenol. I believe that oxycodone is the generic name for Roxicodone, which is also obviously percocet without the tylenol. Oxycontin and oxycodone are the same thing, EXCEPT oxycodone is a quick release tablet, and oxycontin is a slow release of the same med. Hydrocodone is the ingredient in Vicodin and Lortab.

Ive had xrays, bone tests, nerve tests, tissue tests, muscle tests, natural therapy, accupuncture, chinese medicine, pain injections, blood tests for over 50 things including borielose/lyme disese etc etc. Tried fluoxitine, amitriptylene,naproxen, tramadol and varois others. Tramadol helped for a few weeks then nothing. Im really getting to the end of my tether with this.

on day 10....today my doctor prescribed me Naproxen for my chronic back pain. I know I could search this, but would rather ask anyone with any experience with it's use. Good idea or not to use after 10 days clean. I dont even know if it's a "mild" narcotic or not, however I believe it's similar to Aleeve. Advice? thanks in advance.

So Ive been prescribed tramadol 100mgs twice a day along with taking 500mgs of naproxen. Now Ive taken tramadol in the past for pain and recreational purposes and never had a problem when I stopped but I never took them for too long of a period. My question is being that I have an addictive personality, especially to opiates(norco,oxycontin), how long is it relatively safe for me to take tramadol without becoming addicted or dependent upon them.

I have a very high tolerance when it comes to medication. I have a pinch nerve on my left shoulder (going to get it Xray to see what it really is), which only gets aggravated when I'm stress or overwork it in the gym. My Dr has tried Flexeril, Skelaxin, 500 mg of naproxen and it hasn't work. Now she prescribe tramadol. I have read bad things about it and its side effects. Everything is dated from a few years ago, so I would like update from anyone that is taking it.

d prefer not taking anything like Naproxen because I do have mild fatty liver disease. I was told medication like Tramadol is better for my liver and stomach. So.. is it okay to take 150mg a day of Tramadol for my pain? and is there a better pain medication for pulled muscles? (pulled muscle in lower right abdomen - groin to abdomen around hip to lower back. And second pulled muscle from under right rib around to mid back.

Unfortunately, there are side effects with every medication. Personally, I am not a fan of Tramadol as it can be very difficult to come off and I think there are much better both long-acting and shorting-acting meds that can be used.

Then, I gradually got better and it is about a month with no Tramadol! Still take about 6 naproxen tablets, but that is it. Thanks for your encouragement. Not as hard as I thought.
