Common Questions and Answers about Tramadol naproxen

ultracet

Avatar n tn s taking Percocet but not the Flexeril or Naproxen nor Tramadol (until he gets more). He knows nothing about Doctor Shopping, it was my idea for him to see a doctor somewhere to get help for his severe pain - he has degenerative arthritis in his neck with compressed and bulging disks so I thought I was helping by taking him to my local doctor (I didn't realize he wouldn't mention the Tramadol and I think his anger, etc.
Avatar n tn i am currently taking 20mg citalopram, i suffer with server back problems and im usually prescribed naproxen 250mg which help with the pain. Am i able to take my naproxen with my citalopram? as i am currently lots of pain and unsure what can take.
Avatar n tn i have been prescribed naproxen, co codamol and tramadol, together by my gp for terrible nerve pain, which just won't go away..... let's hope this combination will work! Does anyone have any experience with a successful drug regime???
Avatar f tn He has been taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure a little over a year. He has been taking Naproxen for arthritis for several years. We have not been able to isolate a trigger for the Afib other than his controlled blood pressure. Now I am reading that a side effect of Naproxen use is high blood pressure. Has any one else encountered this?

Avatar f tn First off, it bothers me when people say "abusing pills". Sorry, but you can not abuse an inanimate object. I also hate it when people confuse physical dependence with addiction. They are different in my book. Anyway, I am having a problem with my back hurting in my kidney area.
Avatar f tn t diagnosed until I was 27 showing symptoms from my second period at 13 . I was given naproxen that was it. I suffered tremendously and I would take Advil 3 every 3 hours so I am sure my liver from all those years is no good.
Avatar f tn Then my dr prescribed naproxen to take with the tramadol. It just barely takes the edge off my pain and cramps.
Avatar f tn Tramadol and Tylenol are not the same as Tramadol is an opioid as well as acts as an SNRI. You should google Tramadol and read about it before you take it or call your doctor.
Avatar n tn Hopefully you mean 300mg of tramadol and 1000mg of the Naproxen. (gm is the abbreviation for gram; mg means milligram and 1000mg =1Gm) Both doses are large as single doses even in mg. Maybe they are totals for doses that are spread out over each day? You mentioned several digestive tract diseases. They are often irritated by drugs like Naproxen (NSAIDS - non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs) so I'd be careful and report any bleeding or stomach pain.
1230912 tn?1273492770 So I e-mailed my doctor about it and she put in a script for TraMadol, in turn I had to tell her I was already on that for my back problems so she sent in a script for Naproxen. Personally I don't think this is going to help at all because I have never had good luck with it in non-script form but we shall see. She said if it doesn't work to call her in two weeks and she will have to put me on something to take everyday to prevent the headaches. Anybody else see the problem here?
513154 tn?1340225289 The one non-narcotic pain reliever that comes to my mind is Ultram (tramadol). I have talked to many who have used it with success.
1310633 tn?1430224091 So I almost killed my doberman a couple of weeks back. Went for a long bike-ride, and her arthritis flared up about 30 mins after our return home. Saw her with a slight limp, which I'd usually give a Tramadol for (Rx'd by her vet for just suck occasions). Couldn't find the bottle (just moved and haven't unpacked everything yet), so I figured I'd give her an AleveĀ® (Naproxen). DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE A DUMB@$$ LIKE ME AND GIVE YOUR DOG AleveĀ®.
Avatar f tn There is a black box warning of taking Tramadol (Ultram) with any anti-depressant on the market. Tramadol induces serotonin release, and inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine. SSRI's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) or antidepressants also increase the serotonin levels. If both medications are taken together, you may experience serotonin toxicity. This can be fatal. Responsible physicians should not prescribe them together.
1839738 tn?1318548053 m in pain but I refuse to take my prescription because I am an addict in recovery and my dentist gave me Norco even after making him aware of my situation. I still remember my withdrawal symptoms from Tramadol 8 months ago and they were terrible (i did the c/t thing). At a point, I tried to kill myself cause I was feeling so depressed. My question is: how likely is it that I get hooked on these pills and how bad are the withdrawal symptoms?
699217 tn?1323438700 I wanted to know what the difference is between hydrocodone and like-oxycontin or oxycodone, Percocet, tramadol, is this all just types of hydrocodone? All I ever took was hydrocodone....
Avatar f tn Ive had xrays, bone tests, nerve tests, tissue tests, muscle tests, natural therapy, accupuncture, chinese medicine, pain injections, blood tests for over 50 things including borielose/lyme disese etc etc. Tried fluoxitine, amitriptylene, naproxen, tramadol and varois others. Tramadol helped for a few weeks then nothing. Im really getting to the end of my tether with this.
Avatar f tn I have a very high tolerance when it comes to medication. I have a pinch nerve on my left shoulder (going to get it Xray to see what it really is), which only gets aggravated when I'm stress or overwork it in the gym. My Dr has tried Flexeril, Skelaxin, 500 mg of naproxen and it hasn't work. Now she prescribe tramadol. I have read bad things about it and its side effects. Everything is dated from a few years ago, so I would like update from anyone that is taking it.
Avatar m tn So Ive been prescribed tramadol 100mgs twice a day along with taking 500mgs of naproxen. Now Ive taken tramadol in the past for pain and recreational purposes and never had a problem when I stopped but I never took them for too long of a period. My question is being that I have an addictive personality, especially to opiates(norco, oxycontin), how long is it relatively safe for me to take tramadol without becoming addicted or dependent upon them.
Avatar m tn on day 10....today my doctor prescribed me Naproxen for my chronic back pain. I know I could search this, but would rather ask anyone with any experience with it's use. Good idea or not to use after 10 days clean. I dont even know if it's a "mild" narcotic or not, however I believe it's similar to Aleeve. Advice? thanks in advance.
5669694 tn?1372070410 d prefer not taking anything like Naproxen because I do have mild fatty liver disease. I was told medication like Tramadol is better for my liver and stomach. So.. is it okay to take 150mg a day of Tramadol for my pain? and is there a better pain medication for pulled muscles? (pulled muscle in lower right abdomen - groin to abdomen around hip to lower back. And second pulled muscle from under right rib around to mid back.
Avatar m tn Hi I'm new here so pl bear with me..... I've been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for the past 4 years and have had lots of nerve blocks, denervations and botox injections done - nothing has really helped. I've been given Tramadol ER 200mg x twice a day by my Dr and they seem to be working but are making me feel weird/really tired/tinnitus/tearful. Should I keep taking them And how long shall I give them before I know if they are really for me? Thank you all very much.
Avatar f tn Toradol is in the same class of drugs as Motrin, Aleve, naproxen. What are your symptoms? It's generally a safe drug and is opiate free.
Avatar m tn Then, I gradually got better and it is about a month with no Tramadol! Still take about 6 naproxen tablets, but that is it. Thanks for your encouragement. Not as hard as I thought.
