DETROL LA Capsules contain tolterodine tartrate. The active moiety, tolterodine, is a muscarinic receptor antagonist.
The recommended dose of DETROL LA Capsules are 4 mg daily. DETROL LA should be taken once daily with liquids and swallowed whole. The dose may be lowered to 2 mg daily based on individual response and tolerability.

I have been diagnosed with an over-active bladder which causes incontinence and pain after urination.A urologist has prescribed medication containing Tolterodine tartrate.Should I be taking this if I am already on medication for Atrial Fibrillation?Thanks.

im 16 years old and for about the last 4 months i have had the constant urge to go to the toilet.
i have been to the doctors over 6 times with the problem now and still nothing has changed.
at first the doc said that i could have an infection, so after taking 3 different types of tablets
nothing had happened and the doc said it was not that. they sent me to a hospital and i had a ultrasound

I'm IR (Insulin Resistant). You can't achieve SVR if your IR. What are the ways to manage IR? I've determined that it is best to incorporate lifestyle changes such as diet & exercise first. I'd like to expand on this in detail.
Has anyone had RVR with Diabetes or IR? After reading about how IR seems to interfere with the mechanism of interferon I wonder if RVR is out of the question if you have diabetes? I have been trying to get info on slow responders, nil responders and relapsers to try and gage how much IR really plays in the outcome.
In the past year, I have had to increase my dosage and now take 30 mgs IR 4 times a day and 30 mgs CR at night. I know my body is "dependent" on this medication, but I am not an abuser. I always follow the prescription and most times take less than prescribed.
2 days ago, I started experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms. My doctor authorized me to take up to 6 IR a day if needed. I never took that much but several days (not consecutive) I did take 5.
So you're both saying it's IR, huh? Figures, that does seem to be the root problem these days, but "FL", you're saying it's not just IR but perhaps I'm IR in the next time zone but not in the present -- in other words, if a movie the title would be "Back to the IR".
For the past 5 months I have high numbers which is not me. Dr says I'm IR .
After my last heart attack (1/1/10) my IR droped from approximately 40 to 30. Was prescribed ranexa , and cartizem (but not necessarily to improve IR) I didn't tolerate these meds and have dropped them since.I have not had retesting which would check IR but over the past 10 years it has varied 10 percent with the increase in summer activity versus a sedentiary life style during winter months.
