tiotropium and respimat

I take Spiriva Respimat (tiotropium bromide) 2.5 mcg/actuation, and Wixela (fluticasone propionate salmeterol inhalation powder) for my COPD. Is there a sequence I should be taking these meds in? Is there a time frame I should use between the two meds?

My dr. prescribed a rescue inhaler and a Spirivia Respimat inhaler. I also have something called Reactive Airway Disease. When I try to use the Spirivia inhaler, I start coughing when the medication starts going in to my lungs. I am not able to hold the medication for the 10 seconds I am supposed to. Does anyone else have problems with this? How do you deal with it? My dr. says all the medications for my emphysema are inhalers like this one. Any information would be most appreciated.

I was told to stop my spiriva in Aug. that I had been using for about 3 yrs. This was after I had a PFT for the first time. I've had three ct scans over the past three yrs. Shows granulomata and calcified nodules..no change. For the past couple of days I've been very SOB and my arms feel weak and heavy. My chest doesn't hurt it just feels tight/full. Today has been worse. I was also put on neurontin 1 1/2 weeks ago for headaches and wonder if that could have anything to do with it.

Sorry to say, there are no cures, but there are good treatments, especially with inhaled medicine. If you have not already stopped smoking cigarettes, you must stop immediately. Then you should begin respiratory medicine for this condition.

How do you tell if Afib converted on its own or if the medication did the conversion or if the medication was causing the Afib? I have been to the Primary doctor and Emergency room both said I was not in afib currently. Another words, when do you know when to stop taking the medications? Can tight muscles in the chest cause daily asthma symptoms? my chest gets heavy off and on throughout the day I take Combivent Respimat 20-100 MCG/ACT IN AERS, Levalbuterol HCL 1.25 MG/3ML IN NEBU 2X a day before Advair, Singular 10 MG PO TABS, Advair Diskus 500-50 MCG/Dose in AEPB 2X a day, Qvar 80 MCG/ACT IN AERS 2 puffs 2X a day for my severe asthma and I do get relief from the Combivent only to have the chest heaviness come back hours later.

Back in February my a long time diagnosis of asthma became severe asthma and I was told at that time I had viral bronchitis since then I have a lot of problems breathing on a nearly daily basis with a day here and there with no symptoms at all, also there’s very little mucus I only cough anything up in the morning every now and then not very often and I don’t wheeze either.

At my six-monthly checkup at my local hospital here in Spain there was a replacement doctor and since he was young I thought he might be willing to hear why I was not taking spiriva and steroids. i use to panic when i got really short winded but now i just try to make sure i slow breathe , breathe in slow and and let out slow.. Yes it's true - I'm really reaching some kind of edge again. even considered checking out this retreat but the cost was pro-hib-itive. Plus I don't really 100% believe their total philosophy, and I've already dealt with so much of what they talk about. I Believe smoking to certain people more than others can be a very harmful and as for me I exercise very steadily and sing and I do a lot of breath control exercises for my singing and play drums very hard and I still lightly smoke cigarette and sometimes while I am active I get a arrhythmia it lasts for 3 or 4 minutes I feel my heart is pounding so fast I could even feel my heart beat in my throat and sometimes I get a panic about it and that will make my heart even go faster but I notice that
