Avatar f tn ok they say I have PVCs i have no clue!!!! I stopped the tiazac after about 7 days and my blood pressure has gone lower than when i was on it and i am still very dizzy.........heart rate is in the 70s to 100s..My dr said go ahead and start the coreg, and to take it only when things are over a 100.Well my pharmasist told me that coreg is a drug that needs to be taken daiely not as needed so im so confused.
Avatar f tn Hi I was on Tiazac for about 6 ot 7 days and i skipped a few days of it,i have been feeling extremely dizzy and i saw my heart dr yesterday and he told me to stop the tiazac and he is puttting me on Coreg 6.
Avatar m tn I was on tiazac 360mg for a couple of years for high blood pressure.I started having palpitations, skipped beats. The longer I was on it the worse it got. It finally got to where I was having some beats so strong and violent.I told my cardiologist and asked to change medication or a lower dose.He told me to go back to my family doctor who prescribed it originally. As it was 6 weeks to see him, I decided to stop the tiazac. After a few days the symptoms went away.
Avatar f tn I have taken a large amount of medications over the last 20 years: Depakote ER, Remeron, antipsychotic for short time, Hydrochlorothiazide, Atenenol, Trileptal, Luvox, Synthroid, Tiazac, Lipiter, insulin and some others. I have struggled most of this time with uncontrolable diarreahea. Eventually I started taking Imodium AD which helped to some extent. After a colonoscopy and tests for anything that shouldn't exist in the colon, ie: parasites etc.
Avatar f tn I took tiazac about 7 days and have not had any since last wed would any of it still be in my system
Avatar f tn t take this anymore. I have heart palpitations because of the reflux and I am taking Tiazac xc to help control them but it doesn't work that well. I have been sleeping sitting up on my couch for at least a year. I don't feel like I have been receiving good care from my doctors that's why I haven't been back. Everytime I go see the doctor it is a total waste of time and nobody seems to be able to help me. I have small children to care for and I'm always sick.
21064 tn?1309308733 I could really use your help. I am trying to compile a list of common heart medications for one of the Health Pages. So many times someone asks for suggestions, about side effects, etc. It would be great to have a place closeby where we could provide a hyperlink to more information on medications common for heart patients. Will you please help me by letting me know what medication(s) you are currently taking, or what medication(s) you would like to know more about?
Avatar f tn My medication tiazac makes me feel sooooooooo dizzy im wondering if i coujld stop taling it,I have missed the last two days i know it stays in the body for several days, but wondering if i might have ill effects from stopping it i see my dr tommorow,i take it for heartrate,,has anyone stopped it before i think dr will need to find me another med
Avatar n tn There is a lot of experience in this Community on your posted subject, I'm sure you'll get some helpful input. You say you have been diagnosed with PSVT, so I must assume you are under a doctor's care. You didn't mention any medications to help you with the troublesome symptoms. If you do not have any medications for help, I wonder why.
Avatar m tn I am fairly convinced these are esophageal spasms wonder why we haven’t tried Muscle-relaxing drugs including nitrate medications, such as isosorbide (Isordil), nifedipine (Procardia), diltiazem (Cardizem, Tiazac, others) or dicyclomine (Bentyl). I also wonder about Hyoscyamine Sulfate and what about this Heller Myotomy surgery (I’m desperate). In December 2012, I had an EGD done and was told it looks excellent, no ill effects of the acid reflux disease and esophagus looks good.
548642 tn?1266179652 what medications should you not take while on pegasys and ribavirin? i am currently taking lortab for the pain and xanax to help sleep during all the horrible joint pain, as well as an otc laxative, lithium and zoloft!!! my main concern is the lortab? also i hear alot of yall saying that yall do not take tylenol should i not take that either!
Avatar m tn i have been on monopril for many years for high BP- and was OK to take the hep c Tx. however while on Tx my BP rose again, and they added tiazac as well. BP is now maintaining well, and 42 weeks into 48 everyy things looks as if it is working well.
Avatar f tn The cardiologist thinks my problem is because my diastolic BP increases with exercise. So, he put me on Tiazac 240 mg OD. The first few days, it made me more short of breath to the point that I couldn't walk across the room without stopping. And my cough got worse. It is a little better now(2 weeks later) but still worse than prior to starting the drug. My BP runs around 120/97 so it obviously is not enough. My BP was lower before taking this medication. Does this sound normal?
Avatar f tn I have been positively diagnosed with Prinzmetal Angina approimately 5 years back. Since then I have been prescribed different medications on a trial and error basis to find the best combination for my case. Generally the spasmshave been controlled somewhat but have not disappeared completely. I have never had any heart problems, other than once the spasm was so strong that evidently stopped completely the flow of blood to the heart and ended up with a mild heart attack.
Avatar m tn Berntd, is the medication you are taking Tiazac? If you check the side-effects of the medication, constipation in some is mentioned. You may want to check back with your doc.
483818 tn?1232684772 I have been on soo many different medications for my bi-polar. I have had doctors tell me I am not bi-polar and put me on antidepressants alone, only for me to become very manic. At this point I am just sick and tired of the medications. I am sick of the doctors and all of the different opinions. The most recent medication I was on was lamotrigine, i was up to 200 mg/day i broke out in tiny itchy bumps everywhere. I stopped taking these pills and the bumps have started to go away.
Avatar n tn I am not a doctor and your questions really should be addressed to a physiscian familiar with all of these issues and your particular health history. Finding the right medications and the right combination of medications can be a little tricky. These are not matters to be trusted to your friendly volunteer or even someone you know with similar issues. So, my only advice is to go back to your physician or if you are not comfortable with the advice you are getting, get asecond opinion.
