Common Questions and Answers about The hormone diet review

hormone

1641362 tn?1300722948 It's possible that the hormone levels from the birth control play a role in this. It would be worth a review of this issue with your doctor. Have you tried using Immodium D for the diarrhea? There are other anti diarrheals out there, but that's the one I know the name of. I usually have the opposite problem myself with the IBS, so I'm usually making every effort to make it go not stop. I do know that many people rely on Immodium D.
Avatar f tn The B12 is probably not connected to the rest, but it can take 6 months for your hormone levels to naturalize after taking hormones (the pill). Try a good quality sublingual b12 supplement, and maybe also make sure you have an adequate multi-vitamin/mineral. Both hormone levels and on occasion low minerals can add to anxiety.
Avatar m tn How were you treated for Graves Disease? Are you now hypo? Are you on thyroid replacement hormones? If so, which ones, what dosage and for how long have you been on it? It's possible that you need to increase your med dosage, if you aren't losing weight. Typically, when thyroid hormone levels are adequate weight will come off. If you have current labs you could post, that would be helpful for us.
Avatar f tn ve heard from some will review a blood panel, no follow up, and just send the results back if there is no other screening requested), you might consider an Dr. of Internal Medicine. They can do the blood tests that will give a final picture of what is happening with your Thyroid. For some, they get the Hypo reading, are prescribe one dosage that works forever. Others have much more trouble finding the right dose.

Avatar n tn BACK TO THE WHOLE DOCTOR TESTING, I THINK THAT THE DOCTOR COULD HAVE HAD ENOUGH COURTESY TO RETEST ME AFTER THE HORMONE TREATMENT.....I TOLD HER THAT I CUT 2/3 OF THE SUGAR OUT OF MY DIET AND WAS GOING TO MAKE LIFESTYLE CHANGES......GOING TO JOIN WEIGHT WATCHERS, SINCE I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH GETTING INTO MEDICATIONS............SHE SAID THAT SHE WANTED TO SEE ME BACK IN 6 MONTHS.......I ASKED IF I NEEDED TO STOP EATING SUGAR AND JUNK FOOD AND SHE SAID "NO. JUST USE COMMON SENSE.
Avatar m tn this cystic condition is often related to the hormone levels in the body. It is often advised to reduce or eliminate Caffeine from you diet; some Dr.s advise the use of a particular Vitamin Suppliment (ask your Dr. about this). A good supportive bra can help as well as mild over the counter pain medication. Fibrocystic Breast Condition affects nearly half of all women so you are definitely not alone in this. Regards ....

I suggest buying a heart rate monitor.
7552771 tn?1469929649 GD is caused by a hormone made by the placenta. If you control your diet and watch carb & sugar intake per meal you should be able to control it. Taking your blood sugars 2hrs after each meal should give you a good idea on how your body is handling your insulin levels. I too have GD and so far so good on being controlled just with my diet. It is extremely important to keep yourself in check, granted it is hard!!! I keep a daily log, Am fasting and then 2hrs after each meal.
2215568 tn?1339764975 The diet does work.. I didn't take the drops, I took the injections, the only dislike 4 me is I didn't like given myself the injections. However, one of my co-workers took the drops, stuck to the diet and lost 50lbs in the first month, and it really showed. It does take alot of discipline, and you have to be consistant in order to see the results that you want. Hopefully, you have a good batch of HCG if you order online. Hang in there you can do it! SMILE!
374593 tn?1257879950 so we are experienmenting with rice pasta and cookies with different types of flour - shopped in the gluten free section of the store the other day ! it will take some getting used to, but if it helps us get that bfp then i'm willing to do just about anything! anyone tried the wheat thing?
Avatar m tn s what made things worse, I even gained about 120 pounds since then with no diet change (although not a healthy diet) I lost 20 pounds after i started the adderall and have stayed the same now for 4-6 months. with that said, questions- does this sound like anything specific?, should I see a endocrinologist or a urologist? Is this something that once identified can be corrected easy? If I need hormones, is there a way not to become permanently dependent on synthetics?
Avatar f tn Also, if you are taking any kind of medication right now, have the same doc review all the side effects, sometimes they can cause diarrhea. And anyway, when you have such a lengthy bout of diarrhea following the bag reversal, you need to tell the doc about that. So, make an appointment with a doc, even your general doc is okay if you can see him quicker than the surgeon.
Avatar f tn Cortisol is made by the adrenal glands, which sit on top the kidneys. Cortisol is the stress hormone, and chronic high levels are damaging to the body, especially the heart. There is no obvious answer in these results, so be sure to talk through them with your doctor to see what to do next. Some lifestyle changes would probably be helpful.
Avatar f tn I certainly have found no diet that helps with periods. Food isn't going to regulate your hormone levels, so I doubt there is one. If you notice you break out after eating a certain food (i.e., chocolate, etc.), then just avoid it around times you're especially prone to breaking out.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor and he told me I just stained me hands but that was impossible because I was driving the whole time. It eventually just randomly disappeared that evening even though washing hands would not do a thing. Any ideas what this might be ?
846905 tn?1258817444 I too have gained a lot of weight, not losing weight while going to the gym and starting diet, and i haven't been able to get pregnant in 2 years other than that miscarriage. My acne is like yours, it will not go away and i am getting boils in my pubic area as well, and I had never had that before. Let me know what you find out... I have an appointment on Monday with a gynocologist and will see if that has anything to do with any of this.
Avatar n tn Thank you for the answer, but I meant does a person's age affect the outcome of a thyroid test. I have heard that age can cause a test to be incorrect because of the squed(sp.) effect of the curve which gives the result.
