I suggest buying a heart rate monitor.
Avatar m tn How were you treated for Graves Disease? Are you now hypo? Are you on thyroid replacement hormones? If so, which ones, what dosage and for how long have you been on it? It's possible that you need to increase your med dosage, if you aren't losing weight. Typically, when thyroid hormone levels are adequate weight will come off. If you have current labs you could post, that would be helpful for us.
2215568 tn?1339764975 The diet does work.. I didn't take the drops, I took the injections, the only dislike 4 me is I didn't like given myself the injections. However, one of my co-workers took the drops, stuck to the diet and lost 50lbs in the first month, and it really showed. It does take alot of discipline, and you have to be consistant in order to see the results that you want. Hopefully, you have a good batch of HCG if you order online. Hang in there you can do it! SMILE!
Avatar n tn Thank you so much for the advice! We are waiting for the results of the MRI and should know shortly our course of action. Our Endo assures us she will grow but we are worried about her being so overweight. Can anything be done (medically speaking) besides diet and exercise to help?
Avatar m tn s what made things worse, I even gained about 120 pounds since then with no diet change (although not a healthy diet) I lost 20 pounds after i started the adderall and have stayed the same now for 4-6 months. with that said, questions- does this sound like anything specific?, should I see a endocrinologist or a urologist? Is this something that once identified can be corrected easy? If I need hormones, is there a way not to become permanently dependent on synthetics?

Avatar f tn Hello my doctor has come to the conclusion after seeing my results that i do not have a thyroid problem. I have a lot of hypo symptoms such as weight gain, infertility, ibs, very low moods . Can anyone see any other possibilities with my following results. My results TSH 0.02 (0.50-5.00 normal) Free T4 12.4 ( 9.0-25.0 normal) Free T3 6.4 (3.5- 6.5 normal) Thank you for your time.
1333870 tn?1277392648 Unfortunately, since you have Hashi, as your antibody attacks increase, this nodule could grow. Has the doctor suggested thyroid hormone replacement to shrink the nodule? My nodules, ranging from 1 cm to 8mm, all shrunk on thyroid hormone replacement. You need to get blood work to determine your FT4 and FT3 levels.

Avatar n tn BACK TO THE WHOLE DOCTOR TESTING, I THINK THAT THE DOCTOR COULD HAVE HAD ENOUGH COURTESY TO RETEST ME AFTER THE HORMONE TREATMENT.....I TOLD HER THAT I CUT 2/3 OF THE SUGAR OUT OF MY DIET AND WAS GOING TO MAKE LIFESTYLE CHANGES......GOING TO JOIN WEIGHT WATCHERS, SINCE I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH GETTING INTO MEDICATIONS............SHE SAID THAT SHE WANTED TO SEE ME BACK IN 6 MONTHS.......I ASKED IF I NEEDED TO STOP EATING SUGAR AND JUNK FOOD AND SHE SAID "NO. JUST USE COMMON SENSE.
Avatar n tn Yes, there are sometimes side effects with Synthroid, as there is with most medications. You can look on the website for Synthroid and learn about these. I'm sure that your doctor is prescribing meds, primarily because of your TSH level. You should realize that TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by many variables, including the time of day when blood is drawn for testing. TSH also does not correlate very well at all with hypo symptoms.
Avatar n tn I see what your results are for the HDL, LDL and triglycerides... I meant what does the lab report say the upper limits should be?
Avatar f tn Glad to hear you are taking the right steps as you should be. My feelings here do really lean on the female hormone dump you most likely experienced during those two weeks and you tested right at the peek of alot things going on. Since your going to the doctor - it may be wise to ask them to run the complete female hormone panels of FSH - LH - Progesterone - testosterone - estrogen and estrodiol - along with some Vit B - just to see where you are at with those.
1333870 tn?1277392648 What are you taking for Hashimoto's? Any thyroid hormones? Have you tried giving up gluten, especially since you have the stomach issues. New research indicates a strong connection between gluten and Hashimoto's. Gluten wears down the lining of the gut, then seeps into the bloodstream. Thyroid antibodies attack the gluten. Because gluten resembles the molecular structure of the thyroid gland, the antibodies eventually attack the thyroid. Please read my journal.
Avatar f tn Have you been adequately tested and treated for your lack of natural thyroid hormone? If you will please post your thyroid test results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report members will be glad to assess.
532636 tn?1213128073 They said the spectrum is too wide and that I am on birth control so the results will not come out right. I ordered a hormone test from ZRT labs and the results came back that several of my hormones were low. The gynecologists said that is probably becasue I was on the pill and it affected the results. But everyone who knows me and touches me says that I am so hot it is unbelievable. I sweat excessively and I feel a little irritable. It is not stress or nerves. I am positive it is hormones.
Avatar m tn I started taking Sinemet about 3 months ago and my blood sugar levels, insulin resistance are all over the map. In the morning I fight to get my BSs down and now, in the afternoon, I often have BS crashes into severe hypo territory. I've been to the emergency twice these past two weeks - a week ago Friday with hyper, ketones and this last Friday with a severe hypo with 5 units still active!!!
