From what I read, the original HCG treatment consisted of daily shots of that hormone plus an extreme diet of 500 calories, and there was no medical evidence that it worked. It got popular (as fad diets do) and now they sell homeopathic (oral) versions of the hcg that have unknown ingredients and doses. Fad diets don't work and are dangerous for diabetics. I know it is hard to lose weight at your mother's age.
I've read online that LH and hGC are similar hormones, making it possible to detect hGC with an OPK. Is this true? I missed my period, but LH is still negative. Is this a sure result that I am not pregnant?
I went that night to start testing my hormone levels. I got a call today saying that I dont have to go for my other 2 blood tests, although I already had gone to another one, because my level is at 37,810 and progesterone looks great. I am 6 weeks 5 days along. My first apt wasnt until Jan 30 and now im going the 12th, next week! What do I make of this? Im further along than first thought or Im having multiples? Ahhh either way I am ecstatic! Seems like my pregnancy is growing strong.
I am looking into trying HGC for my M.S. Not sure how much to take as I really don't need to loose any weight! How do you go about it?

do you know when you ovulated? If you are 3 weeks late and negative pregnancy tests it could be because the hgc hormone is just too low to show and you should get a blood test. If it's not pregnancy a doctor could probably help you to figure out why it's so late. I've heard stress can make you skip a period altogether.

The B12 is probably not connected to the rest, but it can take 6 months for your hormone levels to naturalize after taking hormones (the pill). Try a good quality sublingual b12 supplement, and maybe also make sure you have an adequate multi-vitamin/mineral. Both hormone levels and on occasion low minerals can add to anxiety.
How were you treated for Graves Disease? Are you now hypo? Are you on thyroid replacement hormones? If so, which ones, what dosage and for how long have you been on it?
It's possible that you need to increase your med dosage, if you aren't losing weight. Typically, when thyroid hormone levels are adequate weight will come off.
If you have current labs you could post, that would be helpful for us.
You will get a false negative even if you are pregnant if you test too soon. Your HGC levels, the human growth hormone, won't be high enough to detect. You should definitely wait until after your missed period. The pain could be a UTI or something like that as well.
"Is there any one reason for all these". Not sure the reference ranges for the SGPT or SGOT so don't know if they are out of range or not, but your TSH is too high, as is your Triglycerides, plus your HDL cholesterol is too low......
High TSH suggests hypothyroidism; hypothyroidism can cause high triglycerides and low HDL.
Has your doctor prescribed you a thyroid replacement hormone or ordered further testing, such as Free T3, Free T4 or thyroid antibody tests?
m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Yes it's possible. I would ask your doctor to order a blood test they are more accurate and if you don't have enough hgc to detect you'll get a negative result. Test again in a day or two pregnancy hormone doubles every day after your missed period.
I came up pos in 2 test at 3 weeks. Why is it that some show ob hpt and some don't? I don't get that. I mean hpt read hgc, and if you're preggo you have that hormone. So this is quite bewildering to me.

Hpt test for the presence of hgc (the pregnancy hormone) in urine. So the ONLY way to get a false positive is if you midcarry or eat something containing hgc (which you'd more than likely would have to had been eating samples at the gnc store to do- because its not common in most foods). The blood test will confirm pregnancy and can give you a good idea of how far along you are.
