925572 tn?1246540031 No side effects, just a very smart loving little boy. There is a book called Mothers Milk, and it is a list of all the medications you can take safely while pregnant that show only minimal traces of the medications that pass through the placenta. You are not alone, and there is help for you. You want your pregnancy to be somewhat enjoyable. Please talk to your doctor about medication.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you are describing pulmonary edema, which can occur with serious cardiac disease. What happens is that the heart cannot keep up with the demands of the body due to poor function. The blood essentially backs up, resulting in fluid in the lungs as well as what is called third spacing in other parts of the body. Edema in the legs also can occur (does he have puffy feet?).
Avatar f tn But a girl swimming there said there was something at the bottom of the pool. He was down there. My cousin pulled him out and did cpr on him. But he had his eyes wide open and there was spit and vomit coming out of his mouth. He was so blue. But he did cpr on him until the ambulance got there. So I took his son (my little cousin who was friends with the little boy) and his daughter back to my apartment. I went to talk to the police and they told me they couldn't find a heart beat.
Avatar f tn It happened with my last pregnancy and it ended up simply being the way the baby was positioned. They measure three pockets of fluid , sometimes baby is pressing on them displacing fluid. Don't panic yet. Just drink a ton of water and rest as much as humanly possible until your Ultrasound. If it looks low again they'll send you to a specialist.
401786 tn?1309152034 I told y'all I have a book called The Book of Questions when Nauty posted a question about saving a family member from drowning...well, I have it in front of me and thought I'd shoot one or two out there. I randomly chose the questions btw.... Question #3: If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven't you told them yet?
Avatar n tn Has anyone experienced something similar? What to take without harming the baby. My fear is this turning into full blown flu. My mother recently passed away, she always had an answer for me, im in need of help and will be switching OB's.
Avatar f tn Hello, I do suffer with ocd. One of my fears is pregnancy. Although I'm not having sex, I still fear I can get pregnant :( it's a pain. So I went to a house party and I had to pee real bad, using other people's restrooms is a no no for me. But I was kinda tipsy and I had to go. As I was squating I slipped and fell on the floor on something wet. Idk if it was girl or guy pee. Now I'm freaking out with pregnancy thoughts like what if.
Avatar m tn During the night, I sometimes wake up with the sensation of have a fleck of spit caught in the back of my throat. Like I've accidentally inhaled a bit of saliva. I've tried looking up people having similar problems, and a lot of people mention mucus or phlegm or catarrh, but I distinctly mean spit. It's like when you accidentally inhale a bit of water. It doesn't feel thick or sticky or like something is coating my throat like post nasal drip.
Avatar n tn However, your son could be having hallucinations in the dark or he could be suffering from a phobia called fear for the dark or Achluophobia. Since he also has autism, please consult his neurologist and get a pneuro-psychiatry assessment. Take care!
Avatar n tn Some people fear being dead, while others are afraid of the actual act of dying. However, if the fear is so prevalent as to affect your daily life, then you need to seriously consider professional therapy. We are all going to die. Wasting your life freaking out about it isn't going to change that fact. Learning how to accept it WILL change your life.
Avatar f tn Also i never had asthma or anything of that nature, i am a smoker but not a heavy smoker in any sense of the word, i have been told by my phtsician i do have fluid in my lungs but he said its nothing out of the ordinary (then he retired a week later) but maybe the liquid he said in my lungs contributes to some sort of water pressure around the body drowning type reaction? I dont know, i know its not dry drowning!! Who gets that?
Avatar n tn This fluid can build up in the arms, legs, lungs and other organs of the body. The heart is working extra hard so sweating occurs. Heart failure also causes breathlessness, confusion, memory problems or disorientation, fatigue and a fast heart rate at times. I had a friend who passed, basically drowning from fluid in his lungs, because of heart failure. http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?
Avatar f tn Since July I cannot stop thinking about death. The worst fear comes over me when im by myself, thinking someone is fixing to kill me. Or i will think about killing myself becuase the pain and sadness and worthlessness that i feel becomes too much. I am a single mom, i have lost my job because i freak out and leave work or dont even show up. I have thoughts of my 4 year old dying. How do i make these god aweful thoughts stop? I cant take anymore.
Avatar f tn When I go a dsy or 2 without them the anxiety about the financial aspect of all of this throws me into a panick attack and there I am again swallowing pills.
Avatar m tn It sound s like a paradox probably the big differens is that between the end of this year and the begining of next there aint no differens, on the other hand the differens between the beginning of next year and the end of this year is as different as up is to down!!!! Sorry I meant down is to up!!!
802961 tn?1240116743 Some would say that in a previous life you had a bad experience and that could be causing this sense of impending doom, as the soul relives experiences when they come close to the same situation. According to this explanation, this is why people have seemingly irrational fears such as spiders, drowning, suffocation, etc. Or perhaps you are simply nervous and without realizing it, fear something bad happening since everything is going so well.
Avatar f tn Seriously freaking out right now don't know whether to go to the hospital or stay home nd take a relaxing hot shower AGAIN... I'm 35weeks 4 days and having intense back pain I really need answers I called my midwife she suggested that I drink more fluids which I'm already drowning myself in.
Avatar m tn I take a number of nebulised solutions each day including Tobramycin, Ventolin and NebuSal nebules. I read that even small amounts of liquid in the lungs can cause Secondary drowning that is apart from all the sodium I am ingesting. Does anyone know how much fluid you can safely take into your lungs and conversely what amounts might be dangerous.
Avatar f tn All symptoms like mouth throat swollen lymph nodes fatigue muscle pain night sweats nausea and vomiting, after 70 days of the relationship I did the combi pt ecl test and was negative, is the answer to the decision, or should I test again?
6726276 tn?1421126668 This reminds me of the book by Patty Duke, "A Brilliant Madness." There is creativity, coping skills, open mindedness, empathy, and many things I have learned from the Beauty of Bipolar. As I work toward balance, I have had a great deal of fear that I may lose the 'good' parts of me too. I am changed forever from those experiences, so I am seeing that I don't have to give up the good with the bad.
Avatar n tn It is because of the way the US views a calendar as opposed to the rest of the world. We all know there is 52 weeks in a year, correct? 52 (number of weeks in the year) รท 4 (number of 3 month buckets in a year) = 13 weeks. Or 13 x 4 = 52. 12 x 4 = 48, what happened to the missing 4 weeks? The rest of the world, I guess for simplicity reasons, just assumes 4 weeks per month x 12 months = 48.
