I had normal skin my whole life. Better then most as far as reacting to anything and fast healing. I developed a rash in the worst place imaginable. I initially thought it was jock itch but after nine months and four dermatologists. They said it's eczema. I went for allergy testing and found out I was allergic to animal dander and dust mites. My rash hasn't responded to any medication and burns but doesn't itch.
I've been searching through the internet and can't really find anything about this specific topic. I have allergies to most animals; dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigs birds(feathers) and I also have a mild allergy to red meat. If I'm allergic to an animal is it bad for me to have dairy products that come from the animal?
Someone said that Topotecan worked better when combined with thalidomide -- don't know much more about it than that, although when I have chemo again (when the Arimidex doesn't hold my counts steady anymore) they are threatening me with topotecan next.
thalidomide used in the past was thought safe.
The only thing I can think of would be nerve ending damage which can happen while having treatment. Ask your doctor about that. I had it and it is not nice.
