There are many times when you are young and strong and probably in some shock to think you may not be injured in an accident. It sounds as if by the type of accident that indeed you were hurt; being t-boned on the drivers side is a direct hit, you were not wearing a safety belt (Good God Girl!) and even at a slow speed of say 30 mph a great deal of damage can be done to a spine not to mention the brain.
