My father was recently told that there is damage to his liver and was taking terbinafine. Will it heal itself now that he quit?
Have you any thoughts on how long after stopping taking Terbinafine and you would expect the side effects would start to ease off?
Im going exactly throught tha same type of Skin problem and just on my 5th days on Terbinafine but concerned about the side effects it can have on my liver...even if they are rare it is still concerning and I dont want to continue on the medication if it not going to be a fungul skin infection.
My Patch started as a small red mark on my stomach areas and grew about 6" x 3 ..pretty large but I have no symptoms, no rash.
I am currently taking the Telepriver protocol with copeg/pegasys interferon/ribavirin etc,,, am in my fourth week and I have some very uncomfortable side effects. 'Roids are a BIG issue,,, traditional treatments are offering minimal relief/results,, anyone had similar complaints? How did you handle it?

would this statement not really get you thinking.I never had any serious deseases but thought that the hep c would kill me. how irronic. those serious side effects are all that occur in our bodies, for some of us. I never experienced any thing like this before on the treatment.
Are there any known side effects for Shen Calmer and Liver Happy Capsules? My dog has been taking them for about a week now. He is taking them for anxiety, no signs of relief yet, but no prescriptions have helped him so this is our last resort. The thing is my mom is a bit scared because of what she has heard about the possible long term effects of accutane. Is it true that the drug can cause serious liver damage etc? I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. So i've been on tenofivor(viread) for about 8months now. I've experienced most of the side effects listed. Recently i've been experiencing a pain from my upper left chest throughout my arm. Mostly at night, then during the day I feel a tingly feeling throughout my body. The last time I had my tests done I was at 70 hbvdna. Of course its not the best test because the American health care system blows. But I've heard we are now getting fibrosis scans and hbsag quanitity scans.
I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.
After 1 week on this dosage, we called the vet as side effects were really awful. He suggested that we half the dose which we did do. He seems a bit better, but is still very disoriented and is urinating in the house. He also seems to be bumping into things and reading other posts, some owners have mentioned blindness. Is this a side effect of pb, and if so will it go away?another concern is our vet is waiting one month before doing blood work. Should we have this done sooner?
A few people breeze through tx (treatment) with hardly any problems, the majority seem to have a couple of mild to moderate level sx (side effects), a smaller percentage have severe side effects that may prevent them from working and may require additional "rescue" meds to manage, and a very few may have such severe sx that they have to be taken off tx early.
