already talked about this and taking lower doses is very very dangerous for resistance, it is the dose to make tenofovir and halftime of the drug to make it free of resistance, really no reason to lower the dose
on the other hand it has been studied double dose of lamivudine which has little lower resistnce rates but again no reason to use it
So, I am at the 15th day of my pep regime and have been strictly adhering to the program till today. I have been taking lopinavir ritonavir along with tenofovir. I am taking 2pills twice for the first one and one pill once a day for tenofovir. Today my bottle of rito/lopi finished after I took my first dose. I went to the doc clinic which was closed and he says i can only get the meds tomorrow.

they are the same drug tenofovir, just different cellular half life and tenofovir dose
TAF is not on the market and still on studies and useless if they keep the dose studying now since it is tenofovir at a much lower dose despite better cellular kinetics

hiv use of tenofovir is not to be considered because hiv damages kidneys too, on hbv trials kidney toxicity is no issue since only 1% developped toxicity and lowering tenofovir dose resolve this and tenofovir is still very active on hbv.unfortunately there is no research on optimal dose of tenofovir on hbv without sides (tenofovir is produced by gilead and they wanted to push use of hespera and probably hiden tenofovir from 2001...

HBV with DNA of 21,420 copies recorded in May 2010. Tenofovir was prescribed but I got scared when I read about the side effects. I have not started the medication yet because of the fear of the side effect. I am on Lyvomin and Vit. B.

not entecavir which has very low resistance but it has resistance it is not zero, it works less on liver cancer prevention but it is less heavy on kidneys so only if you have kidneys problems it is a better choice.
i really dont understand why use of truvada which is simply tenofovir plus ftc in one pill, tenofovir is the most potent drug against hbv replication and has no resistance so truvada has meaning as a business way to make money from patients with only side effects added to patients, truvada is more toxic on kidneys than tenofovir monotherapy
the only thing that may justify your doctor is the need to suppress hbv very fast in weeks instead of a couple of months but 151000iu/ml maybe suppressed in
