t until two nights later I learned about visual hallucinations. I was fascinated at first with visits by the hundreds100s. I was visit by mainly and oddly tons of hardware, clothing, musical instruments on and on. I was almost excited as I had never an experience like this, however between my visitors and withdrawals I got no sleep that night at all.
I am having very strange visual disturbances as well. I have noticed that they do get worse when the stress and anxiety level is high. I have been afraid of a tumor or something. Doctors thought maybe occular migraines but it doesn't really fit what's happening. I think I am going to get some brain scans done, but anxiety definitely makes the situation worse. Having blurry vision, colored lights, vision jumping up and down then clearing, plus more.
I am worried about a visual problem I am experiencing. I had an eye exam 2 months ago that was normal and I have a prescription for reading glasses. At the time I told the doctor that when I look at highly patterned objects or things with defined lines, they seem to vibrate, the doctor told me that was normal with flat surfaces and things with lots of patterns. I do however notice that the raised edges, or defined edges of objects that are not highly patterned or flat are also vibrating.
Your description sounds more like floaters or entopic phenomena than visual snow but we have a wealth of information on all three which you can access with the searach, archives and health topic features.
I am thinking this could be related to a vitamin deficiency or mineral deficiency ESPECIALLY since you had a gastric band done. Have you had any labs drawn?
but there is one visual disturbance that i dont know what are,, i got flashing around my natural blind spot and in pheriphery,spesially in bright enviroments and when going from dark to bright light. it is in both eyes, 24/7..!!
and when i run or jump i can see my bloodvessels in eye,but only in bright light. is that normal pressure phosphene?
some times i've noticed that its worse during stressed periods with alot of anxiety..
How much vision is tested on a visual field test? The problem is what if vision is being lost where the visual field test can't see? I have glaucoma and I noticed some loss (dont know if it was because of glaucoma or has been there) in an upper area of my right eye. But the visual field didn't pick it up. Exactly how far does a patient sit from the center folcal light?
I am a 22yo male in very good health and have been experiencing visual disturbances for the past 3-4 years that seemed to arise gradually. I don’t have any type of muscle weakness or sensory problems. I am slightly nearsighted.
The episodes are as follows: Every day, when I am in dim lighting, I “spots or lights or flashes”.
I am currently undiagnosed but have symptoms of MS. Has anyone else experienced visual disturbances such as increased eye floaters, decreased peripheral vision, or flashes of light? My floaters appeared last September, along with my other symptoms (vertigo, numbness, weakness in left leg, stiff hands), and I have recently had bright but brief flashes in my eyesight, mostly in my peripheral vision.
But recently have been seeing visual snow and afterimages. When looking at a moving glare it seems to have a tail like a shooting star. My eyes have been examened and are fine. I dont know what the problem is.
Hi, i have currently had Depersonalization/Derealization for the past 3 months,coupled with an underlay anxiety problem. I currently take lexapro which seems to have helped a ton, most of my anxiety has seemed to be subsiding. Now if only i could say the same for the DP/DR. I have cloudy vision and a lot more floaters which i have heard many times is caused by the anxiety. I've had my eyes check and everything seems to be fine.
