Avatar f tn You should ask your GP about the possibility of a systemic fungal/yeast infection, and ask them who to see. You may be able to take care of most of it with a single course of oral antifungals. Unfortunately, the only thing that actually works for toe fungus is the oral antifungals. There is a slight risk of liver damage, but the doctor should take baseline labs before starting so you'll know if anything's going wrong, and the course is 3 months.

Avatar m tn I am more convinced that we have a systemic candida infection. I have been able to remove the candida from my intestines and visually seeing it in the toilet bowl using unconventional methods that I'm not allowed to talk about here. (Several times) The problem is that some still linger inside my body. Either its in a dormant stage and waits till I let my guard down to flourish again or has some kind of exoskeleton that protects it from anything that tries to penetrate it to destroy it.
20853006 tn?1547666489 Would a person get a blood test to check for systemic candidiasis? Would yeast show up in urine if you had systemic candidiasis? I am just asking a few simple questions, so please do not attack me.
Avatar f tn My husband has been plagued with problems over the past seven years or so that appear to be systemic in nature to me. His history involves working for approximately 38 years in the printing industry, exposed on a daily basis to blanket wash fumes, and all the other solvents and chemicals necessary for printing. About 13 years ago he suffered an isolated attack of idiopathic anaphalaxis, which sent him to the ER.
630177 tn?1231545490 I have been experiencing extreme vaginal discomfort now for over three months with no discharge. I've used monistat a couple times with no result. I went to the doctor multiple times and this last time I told her to do a COMPLETE std scan on me. She tested for any and all STD's and all came back negative (thank God). Also, at that time I did have discharge so she tested it and said it looked like a yeast infection.
Avatar n tn Back to the original poster, herpes can cause systemic illness but it typically only happens in otherwise ill folks and with a newly acquired infection. The organs you are mentioning having problems with are most likely linked to something else going on. I assume you ( or whoever you were asking this about ) is under the care of a medical doctor.
Avatar m tn I have not had the typical water blisters/scabbing but all these systemic symptoms often attributed to herpes occurring after being exposed seems more than coincidental. Thoughts?
Avatar m tn I have not had the typical water blisters/scabbing but all these other systemic symptoms often attributed to herpes seems more than coincidental since they only started occurring after being exposed to the virus. I am aware i can take a blood test in 3 months, but am I being over-reactive, thoughts?
Avatar f tn Ob/GYN said I had a fungal infection and it had gone systemic. Prescribed course of Fluconazole tablets 150 mg, and the itch went away. I am imagining that his ongoing jock itch somehow spread through intercourse and gave me jock itch and introduced it into my vagina and beyond. Husband doesn't want to go see a doctor and insists his daily sprays "work." I'm symptom free and not wanting a reinfection. Are you sure it can't be spread person to person via intercourse?

Avatar n tn I have lupus myself and I have never heard of that. Lupus can cause rashes. (I am referring to systemic lupus, aka SLE). There is another form of lupus called discoid lupus. If she has that, perhaps the lesions could be related. I don't know much about that kind. The systemic kind is known for affecting various organ systems (kidneys, lungs, heart, etc.) The common rash that many systemic lupus patients have is a "malar rash" which covers the nose and the upper part of the cheeks.
Avatar f tn skin, vaginal or systemic? Only systemic or fungal infection in blood can lower your blood pressure. Skin and vaginal yeast infection is cured by local application of antifungal creams (separate for skin and vagina) and systemic infection is cured by oral tablets. You may need to take the tablets for skin and vaginal infection too. Dehydration, certain medications, heart problems, untreated diabetes, and nervous system disorders can all cause hypotension or low blood pressure.
Avatar m tn Hi, does anyone have information on systemic fungal infections? I don't believe I have candida, I think it is more along the lines of some type of tinea. It is in my prostate and has spread throughout my body. I have tried multiple antibiotics and have been on the candida diet for years, it all helps a little but nothing gets rid of it and it keeps spreading out. The symptoms are numerous and very severe. It is causing me to have mental and physical problems and destroying my life.
Avatar m tn Went in for my next shot and let the nurse know and she said I would need to schedule an appointment to discuss these problems with the doc because I had experienced a systemic reaction to the shot. Prior to this I really had not felt like I had felt after this shot, it had been going quite well with minor minor reactions like runny and itchy nose, maybe some sneezing but I figured this was normal with the shot. Here are my questions.
