For the last two and a half years I have been on Ketek ( twice a day ) , ceftin ( twice a day), diflucan( once a day), plaquenil(twice a day) and pantoloc. I also take ton of acidophilus. I wennt off all of them the first of July this summer. I am quite a bit better but still suffer from extreme fatigue,and muscle twitching. I am wondering if you think I should try some other antibiotics?

Saw my LLMD in San Francisco on Friday and he said that my Erlichoisis is cleared but wants me to stay on my meds (Ketek & Cipro) for another 30 days. My testing for lyme is still coming up positive and there were more positive bands and stronger ones than my last test three months ago. He said that the meds I'm currently are on do not treat lyme. After this course of meds, I am switching to Amox & Biaxin to begin treating the lyme. My CD57 shot up from like 20 to 87 though!

Hi, I am on my second day of a 5 day course of Ketek 400mg (Taking 800mg) . Tomorrow will be my third day. I had an upper respiratory infection but feel MUCH better. I want to go back to Gym tomorrow (Crossfit) i will only take my anti biotic after the session. Is this ok?

antibiotics for 10 days.. called KETEK. and the pains would be soo extreme that i was given morphine to make them go away.. i couldnt sleep anymore and they became soo intense recently..a year later.. almost every night.. and tehy would start..early at 11pm .. and so.. for hours.. i dont know what to do.. i finished my antibiotic treatment a weeek ago..and i was fine.. and now i am feeling pains again.. i feel soo helpless and angry.. i dont know what it is ..

Hello, I restarted my ABX after a year break I believe on Jan 19, 2013 so I've been on them a little over two months. I'm taking Ketek and Cipro 2x a day. I just want to make sure that what I'm experiencing could be a herx and not just a sudden onset of aging or something because I did just turn 51. I am having such bad morning stiffness. Arthritis type stuff has not really been a problem for me but I am certainly experiencing aching painful hands/feet/knees/hips...

I can say from my own experience that the symptoms, recovery from this illness seemed to occur in stages. The first time it hit me, it took me 5 years to recover. I noticed no improvement until 4 months into treatment. So even though it seems like such a very long time, it's not all that long. You may start improving more soon. It's a slow, painful recovery. At least it was for me. If you are not satisfied with your doctor you could get another opinion from another LLMD.

I encountered a severe sinus infection 2 years ago.(CT scan finally confirmed that). Then still had ear troubles and the Ketek antibiotic didn't help ENT then gave me Levaquin and more steroids(pill & injection) At same time places a vent tube in my left ear. I immediately felt a horrible pressure in my right ear but strangly enough it would sometimes feel like my left ear was full. Then I get right ear tubed. So, for almost 2 years with the tubes and able to fly.
