after the encounter i went back to my doctor and asked if it was cause for concern and he mentioned there is a risk of STDs as well as other infectious disease as my skin on the finger is still raw and likely to more susceptible.
my doc suggested a HIV test and a HEP B test 3 mths from now.
Jst wanted a second opinion since you guys always seem to think its no risk.

1) Is there any risk of any STDs or other infectious diseases?
2) Should the masseuse be worried abt my dermatitis as well?
I was wondering if STDs can be transferred through saliva, and if it could how easily can it occur?
For example:
If a person who you suspect has STDs talks to you, and a small droplet of their saliva landed on your lip. Knowing you have a very small cut on your lip.

s are only contractable by sexual activity (except for things like HIV and Hepatitis, which can be contracted by blood-to-blood contact....and are not strictly STD's anyway) -then I would say dogs and cats cannot catch a human STD. Also, although there is a feline form of the HIV virus, and a canine form of Hepatitis, these viruses are different strains to the ones which cause the human form of the diseases.
