9 year old w massive stomach pain above his bellybutton, low grade fever, headaches, dizziness, extreme tiredness. have had bloodwork done X-rays and catscans and everything comes back normal this has been going on for a week now. in the last two days he has slept 30 hours and has trouble staying awake what could be the problem?
I take my daughter to bat area pediatrics they answer the phone and get me in usually for that same day! And they have a few docs to choose from! It's a bit of a drive for me since I'm in channelview but I don't care I'll drive if it's worth it!

It may be an injury (kids are always running and bumping into something) or it could be a small infection starting in one of the ducts. Only the doctor will be able to tell for sure.

Make sure ur family researches true chiari specialists that deal with pediatrics...u do not just want a NS, one that is well informed and experienced with chiari is best.

I work in pediatrics and the one thing we always warn about are side effects of vaccines. It is very common to have redness and swelling and pain after a tdap vaccine. As long as it's not the size of a golf ball (roughly 1 1/2-2 inches) or bigger then it should be ok. Put some ice on it and also try to massage it out. I always told my patients, especially the older ones to make sure they work it (the arm injection was given) out. Tdap is the worst for leaving a small lump and soreness.
ve had chronic migraines my whole life for as long as I can remember and I am 22 years old.
