I know this post is years old, but I'm just seeing this & thought I'd reply anyway--for me, it was "osteitis pubis". It flares up occasionally, but I did go to P/T and got exercises to help strengthen my hamstrings and hip flexors. Also a foam roller helps. And basically, rest, ice...
Surgery is done when there is Mastoid osteitis, Intracranial extension, Abscess formation, Co-existing cholesteatoma and Limited improvement after IV antibiotics.

The socket needs to heal before the graft. It could possibly be a dry socket.In a dry socket there is alveolar osteitis and there is severe pain since the underlying bone and nerves are exposed. t do appropriate drug testing prior to FDA review and approval, and it turned out that Ketek can have sudden and very bad effects on liver function...'very bad' as in, liver failure and death...on a few taking it.

dont think its an infection because i dont have any other symptoms of a infection
but the one is bothering me is my jaw, ever since yesterday, both sides have been feeling sore and kinda tight. it comes and goes and now, only the side by my wisdom tooth hole feels tight. a few days earlier, i've been biting down on my teeth alot, could this be why? but i stopped doing it and the pain is still there.
Almost immediately, I started coughing up CLUMPS of mucus, not liquidy or slimy, but more gelatenous (sorry if it is too much info), and the Aleve DID help with the soreness and pressure... for a while. Eventually, it is almost like whatever it was was altering itself to resist what I was taking. A few days later, where the Aleve initially was completely relieving the pressure and soreness, soon, it was only relieving the pressure, and the soreness persisted.
