Last year I was treated for MAC and lost 22 pounds. The MAC is dormant at present. I am so tired and breathless I can't do routine activities and it is extremely frustrating! My pulmonary physicians through the years have never treated my symptoms aggressively. It seems to me bronchiectasis could have been prevented with early intervention. Now it is too late. It is in all five lobes. My left lower lobe is completely destroyed.
t do appropriate drug testing prior to FDA review and approval, and it turned out that Ketek can have sudden and very bad effects on liver function...'very bad' as in, liver failure and death...on a few taking it.

Since I had an abdominal CT done last August for another issue and no nodules were seen in the lower lungs, my Pulmonologist. was concerned and arranged a surgical consult. I had a VATS lung biopsy done on the 14 of February. Although there is no cancer present (some good news!), the pathologists are stumped. At this point they are eliminating different things instead of focusing on what it is. Late last week some of the tissue samples were sent to the Armed Forces Pathology Lab in MD.
Almost immediately, I started coughing up CLUMPS of mucus, not liquidy or slimy, but more gelatenous (sorry if it is too much info), and the Aleve DID help with the soreness and pressure... for a while. Eventually, it is almost like whatever it was was altering itself to resist what I was taking. A few days later, where the Aleve initially was completely relieving the pressure and soreness, soon, it was only relieving the pressure, and the soreness persisted.
Yes it's true - I'm really reaching some kind of edge again. even considered checking out this retreat but the cost was pro-hib-itive. Plus I don't really 100% believe their total philosophy, and I've already dealt with so much of what they talk about. I really do think my problems are bigger than just needing to find a life lesson, and "doing happy" etc.

I have been on a statin drug for about 15 years and ran for exercise until about 5 years ago and all I can conclude from my history is I have benefited from the statin drug via low cholesterol and not blockages and weight control and general high physical quality of life from the exercise. I'm 11 years younger than you, and I no longer run, but that is because of atrial fibrillation, not because of muscle damage due to anything other than age.

I've been to NA (and will be going back, plus years of alanon), I know all the lingo etc. I just want a damn life. Or my damn life BEFORE opiates.
Help...any advice? My newborn baby is an angel all day long sleeping/eating/being content and happy, and will take naps in his bassinet no problem. But at night he'll wake up to feed or be changed and will cry nonstop after when we try to out him back in his bassinet.
When I was 16, I began experiencing dizzy spells and migraines. I had an MRI and was found to have white matter lesions. My neurologist shrugged it off, saying "migraine syndrome with aura," and m ENT said "probably BPPV."
Since then, I've been able to control my symptoms with meclizine, high doses of ibuprofen, birth control (rule out hormonal migraines!) and, basically, a "positive state of mind.
I Believe smoking to certain people more than others can be a very harmful and as for me I exercise very steadily and sing and I do a lot of breath control exercises for my singing and play drums very hard and I still lightly smoke cigarette and sometimes while I am active I get a arrhythmia it lasts for 3 or 4 minutes I feel my heart is pounding so fast I could even feel my heart beat in my throat and sometimes I get a panic about it and that will make my heart even go faster but I notice that
