I was obssesed that these symptoms are of multiple sclerosis and am fixed on it and the thought of it wont leave me, I went to a neurology specialist who said that my neurolgical exam was fine,I even had an EMG and NCT which were normal,but this muscle twitching, nubmness and cold freezing feet wont leave me alone,please help am on benzodiazepines for two weeks and its the only thing that helps but i dont want to get addicted to it.

Is this the one? The person in question didn't seem blind. He/she said that this is what the drugs are: GS 5885, GS 9451, Ribaviron, Tegobuvir. No interferon.
You may want to ask about it in your area or explore on clinicaltrials.gov for the trial already in existence NCT 01359644 and whether the extension will be done there. The extension is not yet published at the website. Generally, the side effects are minimal on these orals.

Lisinpril can cause a chronic cough and you should stop this medication to see how the cough changes. It may be replaced with valsartan or candesartan which do not usually cause this side effect. The verapamil usually does not cause this side effect. This may not be related to your medications, and chronic cough or ' bronchial asthma' may actually be cardiac in nature ( e.g. CHF). Make sure your physician takes this other consideration into account.
He referred me to neurologist in august(2months into symptoms) and said my neuro exam was normal but wanted to run an EMG and NCT on my right hand, arm, shoulder and right foot, leg and hip since signs worse on right side at that time. The test were completely normal and said I showed no signs of neuromuscular disease and said I met none of the requirements for ALS except generalized muscle twitching and diagnosed my problem as benign fasiculations.
MRI with and w/o contrast of head and neck, CT scan of head and EMG/NCT were normal and my reflexes are good. At a loss... Being referred to a rheumatologist but all labs to check for anything rheumatological were normal. All other labs normal too-thyroid, b12, CBC, potassium, etc. Any one else out there one me?
i am scared of whats going on. i had a EMG and NCT on sunday the nueulogist said somethinmg about moderate neuropathy i dont know what to do i see the doctor again on tuesday afternoon next week but i am really scared and my body is driving me crazy i am indepentent and its getting hard to drive have to use my left leg to drive a lot anymore .

Is there not a friend or family member you can confide in? There is helplines you can call like the NCT one. Don't suffer alone! Talk to your Midwife. I suffer with depression any way but mine does seem to get worse now I'm pregnant. I try to focus on the thought of just getting through a day at a time.

I had NCT(nerver conductivity test) ....to my surrpise I've ulnar Nerve palsy and wasting of hand muscle and doctor says
I will need operation to fix it. It is painful news and says even operation will not result full recovery - ...
Doctor says many reasons causing it. I believe it must be due to diabetes condition causing nerve damage and finally palsy....
I've been reading websites to see possible non-surgery alternatives. Perhaps, I'm dreaming......

and encouragement! I had a NCT and EMG on my arm that is troubling me.... both were negative. The doctor noticed I had a frozen shoulder. They will try to figure out why I have arm pain. I did slip and fall three times on ice at the end of last year.
A couple of days after the tests were done, the fasiculations are virtually gone. It is amazing what stress can do to you. Thank you again for your service on this very valuable website.
