I have bronchial asthma and every blood pressure medicine I have taken causes a constant cough and wheezing. Are there any medications I can take that doesn't cause these side effects? I have tried ToProl, Lisinipril, Tekturna, and now am on Verapamil Extended Release.
is well documented online and is due to a special gene which allows some of us the ability to get a whiff of that. I also can smell the after effects of eating brocoli, cabbage, onion, and tomato sauce as well. Think of it as an odd gift!
My dog has Kidney failure. The vet put him on a few drugs and his kidney fiction kept going down. So he suggested that i put him on Azodyl and Epakitin. He has been on both since December. Since starting him on those 2, he has had a nose running problem. He had his nose scooped to see if it was a fungus or obstruction and it was neither. the specialty vet thinks it is allergies. but none of the allergy meds work. His nose runs none stop, and i have to consistently wipe it.
My cardiologist put me on ramipril a few wks back and after 10 days ran blood tests whic came back normal. this morning I woke up with diarriah and some serious kidney pain on the right side.It doesn't hurt when I urinate or have a bowel movement although certain body movements cause it to occur. My question is can this be caused by ramipril along with my lasix and potassium with a delayed reaction or buildup?
she cant even eat what she likes,she also get vomiting sensation often..the cardiologist advised to check with kidney docter,by checking so there was nothing more serious in her kidney but she feels very tired and she is not able to eat also

I would be more concerned about lowering my bp which might include increasing ur dosage or combination with norvasc, ACE inhibitor and water pills to avoid damage to ur heart or worsen ur kidney probs, also ur hbp may be as a result of ur kidney probs, try to get that sorted out too. Remember that u may need dosage adjustments if ur kidney function has been compromised. I hope this helps.

Does your wife have problems with her kidneys? Sometimes, person's with diabetes have kidney problems and kidney problems can effect the way medications are metabolized and excreted from the body.

three years ago my wife had to have a cancerous left kidney removed and at the time they removed a rib as well,at the time we just assumed it would be pinned back in afterwards but wasn't.
now she experiences daily pain and uncomfortableness from the inch or so they left and she feels things 'catching' on it.
is it possible to have an artificial rib bone made and fitted to replace the original one that was removed.?
i was recently told by my doctor that trace amounts of protein were found in my urine. i have had a long history of kidney stones, over 10 yrs and have been seen a urologist for kidney stones. could the trace amounts of protein in my urine be connected to the nephrolithisis? my md (not my urologist) prescribed an ace inhibitor benazipril 10 mg to protect my kidneys from damage, and said the the trace amounts of protein in my urine may be due to the kidney stones.

So long story short, how is your son's blood pressure? (avg=120/ 80) Hypertension= 140/90 or above. Does he have chronic conditions causing low oxygenation (diabetes, asthma, live in high altitude, and you say he had blood work, do you know what the oxygen concentration in his blood was (pO2)?
I feel that the kidney doctors are killing his heart just to save his kidneys. He is awaiting a kidney transplant. He did not have any issues with his heart until the last two years and the echos have shown that there has been significate damage.
I personally feel that he should be on dialysis. I am not getting good answers from our doctors as to why he shouldn't be. Please give me the pros and cons so we can make an informed decision.

Both numbers are not too bad, anything above 140/90 is not acceptable for long time, for heart, brain & kidney long term effects. The lower number is more imp 7 shooting above 90 or 100 is bad. The higher value at times may go high due to stress anxiety etc.
