I was also in Europe once and had to call in as I was having a rip roaring AFib event. I packed the extra meds so I was able to take the right amount when instructed by my EP when I phoned him Europe. Upon my return from my trip, I was back in his office for medication adjustment.
The pill in the pocket is not the standard way to treat AFib but only a way to help you through the event. You need to follow up with the EP as the current meds you are taking may not be doing the trick.
A close relative is looking into treating her RRMS with HSCT. As Europe is the most viable option I'm interested to hear about any experience from Karolinska University hospital in Sweden.
I've managed to find a blog from a Norwegian woman describing her experience and her life after the treatment. By contacting the hospital I've got the info that they have expanded the capacity and how the process looks like. I'm however looking into additional sources of information.
