Avatar f tn Im at the movies with my boyfriend and were about to watch an imax movie.. im 25 weeks :) is it safe to watch a movie in imax ??
Avatar f tn Is going to the movie theater and seeing an IMAX movie okay? Will the sound affect the baby?
Avatar n tn t smoke, do exercise, am thin). My doctor put me on a diuretic, Tekturna and Bystolic, and within a week I had completely lost my sense of taste! Anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it's a side effect that will wear off if I just stick it out. The combination seems to be working well to lower my bp and hr but I'm losing weight (a bad thing) and really, really miss food!
284738 tn?1283106819 t know what they are called, here the theater is called IMAX...there are screens all around you and if the movie is about skydiving, you could actually get the "feeling" of it, before you do it. Also, if you get scared, all you have to do is close your eyes, and the feeling goes away!! Plus, you are in no danger of getting hurt...
Avatar f tn Every time the dinosaurs roared when we went to see it in IMAX last week, my little one jumped like crazy. I was 32 weeks at the time and felt horrible, too.
208686 tn?1293030503 The team is part of TAPS (from SciFi channel), and we were recently featured in an IMAX movie. Trust me, I had NO interesting in being in that movie because my butt looks even bigger on IMAX! LOL!
Avatar n tn Lisinpril can cause a chronic cough and you should stop this medication to see how the cough changes. It may be replaced with valsartan or candesartan which do not usually cause this side effect. The verapamil usually does not cause this side effect. This may not be related to your medications, and chronic cough or ' bronchial asthma' may actually be cardiac in nature ( e.g. CHF). Make sure your physician takes this other consideration into account.
Avatar f tn IMAX movies as well as 3-D movies trigger my vertigo and my left sided face tingling. I didn't give the 3D much of a chance since just a short while into the movie I felt the familiar tingle and stopped watching.
489808 tn?1209049408 Hello.....I hope someone can relate with all of this.....cause I am tired of being sick & tired! First off I guess I'd like to give a little background. Starting in October 2007 my family has been hit with some pretty hard blows. 2 deaths, aunt's cancer came back, my grandma (who practically raised me) was diagnosed with breast cancer (she had a mastectomy & is recovering quite well). I had a miscarriage on 3/9 & had a DNC on 3/11.
Avatar m tn t wait to see the new Stones movie by Martin Scorscese. It is filmed in IMAX size and just started playing here in Portland.
5684059 tn?1374435322 So I did some research looking for elective 3d ultrasound offices. And I think I found a good one. They even do it in a "movie theater" room. Imax sized screen. Now I have never had a 3d ultrasound even with my first. My insurance doesn't cover it. The package I was looking at is $70. Includes ten minutes, two 4*6 pics, gender reveal/confirmation. And a "goodie" bag with infant supplies and samples. And I think for $10 you can get a dvd of the u/s.
483733 tn?1326798446 I was on a med called Azor (also Norvasc) and those pills are known to have that affect. So I switched to a new pill called Tekturna, and it is working well for me. I take it at night, and it seems to minimize the swelling during the day. Be vigilant... it would be terrible for you to be dealing with so many issues that you don't fully understand. The more you learn, the more you can help yourself. I'm still having swelling, but I don't think it's related to the hyst.
Avatar f tn I'm with ess on the weird movies and the jerky motions. And forget sitting in an IMAX movie wit h the giant screen and 'you're in the action' camera work. That really does make my stomach flip I was diagnosed with the problem of my eyes not moving correctly, just like ess. The PT folks gave me exercises to do to strengthenm those muscles but I am honestly not good at doing them.
Avatar m tn If not, there is some other reason for your near discomfort. You mentioned dry eyes, which may be contributing to the problem. This should be treated to help your reading problem. Nutritional supplements such as multivitamins and fish oil (Omega 3), artificial tear supplements (Refresh, Optive, Systane, Thera Tears), lid hygiene and other therapies may be tried.
572651 tn?1530999357 Thanks Imax for the kind words - the MS patient speaker is an equestrian so perhaps I could learn something about completitive horse riding. I think I will go just to see if there is a local neuro worth considering - right now I travel to Columbus to the MS clinic which isn't so bad. If anyone out there is in the Dayton area/southwest Ohio and is interested in meeting up to attend this luncheon, please send me a message and I'll give you the contact info.
572651 tn?1530999357 My parents are watching the kids for us on Friday night so DH and I can go on a date. We might just go to dinner and an IMAX movie, neither of us have ever seen an IMAX movie. Or, if nothing good is playing, we will go to the discount theater and dinner and find an inexpensive hotel to stay at. I'm leaning towards the cheap movie & the hotel....to sleep past 8am sounds heavenly! And, we are making an effort to get the house organized. I feel like I'm drowning in stuff!

Avatar f tn Yes, but there is something about watching it in IMAX on a Tuesday night when there is only 4 - 8 people in the entire theatre that is . . . special.
1755089 tn?1376053555 My head hurt so much right now! I saw the cardiologist in the institute in Quebec City. He told me that even the medication I'm taking are not helping much. In fact he review all my test results with me and said I have one abnormal heart beats every three beats. That makes for 35 000 pvc per day. The hospital is going to call me back in a few week, up to three months and an ablation is going to be scheduled. He said that after I should be way much better.
1243333 tn?1296446902 Is it common to become depressed after being told that you have extensive premature coronary artery disease, this was 14 months ago (just turned 50) I have become to the point that I just want to give up completely and continually think that I would be better off not here approach my GP with the depression issues just could not tell him that I am tired of being tired and want to quit he prescribed lexapro took it for about a week can't deal with the way I felt so stopped I am already on so m
382218 tn?1341181487 Well that is a relief to know it's not just me. Imax, I know what you're saying re: wondering if you've just gone crazy and paranoid! These odd sensory symptoms really make you second-guess yourself, especially when they come and go like that. I get the dry mouth too, especially when speaking for any length of time. I now always have to carry water with me when I attend meetings; more than once my mouth became so dry I could barely talk!
Avatar m tn You can have them all over your field of vision at night, all snapping to larger and smaller sizes, all sourcing from a light point and all moving with every moving light source. Driving or watching an IMAX Movie is a psychedelic display that is all but overwhelming. Mine started immediately after a fixed focal IOL was implanted. There is some research on this, but not much. It is real though.
Avatar m tn d take my glasses off and imagine what it would be like that way - I used to think it would be like being in an Imax movie all day long. That was what drove my decision - the problems about near vision took a back seat. And that was all because I could not experience each outcome before taking the decision. 2) I think another problem is that you can't be prepared for what it's like to lose ALL your accommodation.
Avatar n tn 6 months back i was diagnosed with High Blood pressure. i went to the primary doctor and got prescription for tekturna after 3 weeks i noticed in the afternoon i had high bp and felt like heat coming out of my head. i rushed to the office happen to be close to where i work.
