Lisinpril can cause a chronic cough and you should stop this medication to see how the cough changes. It may be replaced with valsartan or candesartan which do not usually cause this side effect. The verapamil usually does not cause this side effect. This may not be related to your medications, and chronic cough or ' bronchial asthma' may actually be cardiac in nature ( e.g. CHF). Make sure your physician takes this other consideration into account.

I've had a cough for 3 weeks now maybe even more and I went to my doctor and she prescribed me antibiotics which helped the cough but I still have it. I have it during the day but it gets worse at night is there any suggestions on what I should do? Hi I'm just wondering if anyone's ever had a really bad cough whilst pregnant? I'm 18w 1d and had a really bad cold and now got a really bad cough. Are you also having any other symptoms like increased sweating, chest pain? In that case it may be an indication of some problem related to the heart. See a physician. d call a pharmacist and ask for their advice about any medications you can safely take while pregnant...however, most cough medicines loosen up the congestion in your lungs so you can get it up and out and stop the cough and if you said that it was a really dry cough, it could be something different that you might want to see a doctor for...I guess this doesn't really answer your question but I'd start with a pharmacist and see what they say.
hey, I'm a 22 yr old female and i've had the exact same thing. I have had a cough since 17 jan and its now 4 june, so nearly 5 months. I don't have a sore throat but do have a rasping, rattling feeling in my chest. It doesn't hurt although it is very annoying. Especially when i cough and can't stop. Like you most times when i cough, i bring up either clear or white fluid.
