t smoke, do exercise, am thin). My doctor put me on a diuretic, Tekturna and Bystolic, and within a week I had completely lost my sense of taste! Anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it's a side effect that will wear off if I just stick it out. The combination seems to be working well to lower my bp and hr but I'm losing weight (a bad thing) and really, really miss food!
Lisinpril can cause a chronic cough and you should stop this medication to see how the cough changes. It may be replaced with valsartan or candesartan which do not usually cause this side effect. The verapamil usually does not cause this side effect. This may not be related to your medications, and chronic cough or ' bronchial asthma' may actually be cardiac in nature ( e.g. CHF). Make sure your physician takes this other consideration into account.
I have hypothyroidism.
I have recently had 2 episodes with alarming mouth & gum swelling, redness, some tongue swelling & sores. I figure out what these episodes happened and if they are related to my thyroid condition. I do not have any known allergies. I'm 48 yrs old.
3 Drs have said they have seen nothing like it. Histamine injections, antibiotics & in one case liquid steroids were used simultaneously and worked. Healing occurred within 1 and 3 days respectively.
I had to have a c section because he wasnt head down and the stupid drs didnt find that out until middle of week 39 and kept saying he was in the correct position until i went into the hospital and they checked my fluid level by ultrasound and found that out and i had to have an ultrasound the next morning because they said it was too late and he was too big to turn. I was so disappointed, but its better than laboring and then having to have an emergency c section i guess.
It could be a yeast infection. Some times it doesn't have a smell, and would definitely cause itching and swelling. Good news is it is not harmful to baby and you can cure it on your own if you choose, probiotics and green yogurt for a few days.
I had a friend look at it and she said she wasnt sure maybe could be HPV but we looked and pics online and didnt resemble that really at all. I went to the doc and she took a culture to send to the lab which i am still waiting for results she said it could be herpes. I am totally freaking out but at the same time i am doubtful that it is herpes because there really isnt any burning or itching going on. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!
It's impossible to speculate as to what might be causing your symptoms without an examination. Are you active duty ... and deployed ?? I was thinking you might see a civilian Dr. and at least rate an exam. I'm not sure how the military works today but if you can't see an outside Physician I'd just keep trying until you get some results. What you describe must have a cause and it needs to be found. My daughter has been diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroiditis and has sever swelling in face, hands and feet. She talked to some one the endocrinologists office to get her medicine changed to a non-generic, which they are going to do. But they also told her that the swelling is not due to the thyroid and she needs to see her general doctor. Is there any type of remedy to help the swelling and why is this sympton acknowledged by endocrinologist doctor.
I have pain in my joints too. I have face, and limb swelling and numbness too. I am unable to walk long distances and go up or down stairs. Its even hard for me to type this note to you today i had to lay down because of the muscle weaken. I went to Arkansas and was bitting my several mosquitos. I do not have a fever. I do have history of high blood pressure and migraine. should i go to the er?
my question is my husband has had his aorta arch replaced with that synthetic tubing, aorta valve replaced with a calf valve, front pericardium sca removed, has another anyuresum behind his heart a 4.5 now, and he is now swelling again in his ankles when he drinks any kind of alcohol, i mean it comes on quick!!!! what could be causing this im tired of whipping the old horse because he wont listen!!!
t having any pain or worrisome symptoms other than some neck stiffness. My doc assured me it was edema and normal swelling as the bone and muscles were still healing. My incision is fully healed. Well last night I was feeling more pressure and tightness. When I felt the back of my head, the swelling and bulge was very significant. I feel more uncomfortable than anything with some neck tightness and fatigue. I had a few alcoholic drinks 2 nights ago and wonder if the swelling can be from that?
I'm only about 7 weeks pregnant but my ankles and knees are swelling a little bit. I'm overweight but have lost quite a bit of weight since I found out I was pregnant. Does anyone else have this this early? And also when I go from sitting to standing my hip will make a poping noise and then lock so I can't move properly has anyone else experienced this? What can I do?
