My 7 week old daughter, who was born five weeks premature has been having issues with hyperkalemia. Her pediatrician and the kidney specialist she had been consulting with order more labs and an ekg at our local childrens hospital. Today I got a voicemail saying that the potassium levels had went down, but all the other labs like the cretin check where abnormal and she was waiting to her from the kidney specialist. She also said that her ekg was abnormal.
My tingling/numbness sensation has come full force with my hands and feet, arms and legs. Coupled with a sick feeling in my stomach and major dizziness. I really want some suggestions. I feel like the doctors think I am crazy. All the tests have come back "normal" yet I feel awful!
I go back to my internist, rheum, and neurologist next week....what should I keep pressing them to do? Tests?

I have a handout that Cleveland Clinic gave me from their syncope clinic that recommends 5g (=5000 mg) sodium/day so that's what I aim for, though I don't use tablets or anything, I just salt load in my diet (hello, soy sauce! haha).
For potassium, I'm in the same boat as halbashes and I'm on Rx Potassium supplementation.
T-wave abnormalities requires further evidence and except for hyperkalemia (electrolyte) the T-wave alone is not a diagnostic of any medical issues. Conditions to be considered with T-waves will usually be abnormal in ventricular hypertrophy, LBBB, chronic pericarditis, and in electrolyte abnormality.
Whether to see a cardiologist would depend on whether you have any supporting symptoms, health history, family history of cardiac disease, etc.
i had my blood took for an iron and potassium check cause they are usally low the said this time they was elavated whats this mean and is it serious I go back in two weeks to have checked again what can they do for it

Hey have been sent to my local hospital for my second ECG. Was given the results and told to give them to my GP. Of course being 18 I could only help to look at the results and photocopy them. Just wondering what you guys think of these results:
First ECG
Normal Sinus rhythm with sinus arrhythmia
Nonspecific intraventricular conduction delay
Borderline ECG
After that first ECG I was sent back and told to get another one done.

but just after a month she was hospitalized again for 2 days because her potassium went up and she had hyperkalemia. her potassium level went to 10.96 and technically she should be dead already with that level of potassium she was having palpitations, diarrhea and body weakness the night that she was admitted.
